Talented rider for sure, but it's just so dumb. Would be funny as a joke edit. But seems like they are taking it pretty serious.
  • 5 3
Yeah. Lol. Can you help us to do a joke edit next time? But no joke edits with Kenny though!

@andaremedia: sure, we need a green screen and a few electric fans. Make that helicopter drop look massive!

@andaremedia: Maybe the crowd wants a more light hearted feel. IDK. Maybe there's something implicitly comical about big features in spandex. Some light watching:

I think your words are a bit harsh but I agree. The music was too generic-bad-boy and some quick cuts of bloopers and silliness here and there could have made it feel a bit more approachable. It just seemed to take itself too seriously.

 @n-lagasse: Arkansas is very serious
  • 4 0
50 seconds of credits, no outtakes. Pathetic
  • 4 0
Yep, clearly a very skilled rider but when the 'ender' is hopping up a set of steps it's time to study a few bmx edits.
  • 3 0
Honestly the helicopter clip in the beginning was underwhelming and weakened the video as a whole. Sadly the rest of the edit was great.

I've known Kenny for some years now, we even went riding together on some occasions, he's actually a really chill guy.
Only, it doens't come across in his video's. Wich is weird, because he's got the skills for sure, but can't seem to translate them all to well to video.

IMHO, he just needs to tone it down a bit with the "seriousness" and just make 'em more fun, approachable. Put a more upbeat soundtrack to it, few outtakes here and there, some tongue in cheek stuff. Basically, use any Danny MacAskill video as a blueprint and give it your own twist.

If it was Danny MacAskill you'd be calling it a great video...
  • 3 1
Ligthen up everyone. Those were some sick moves, Kenny!
  • 1 0
@andaremedia: you should check out my video edits I have never done. They are way better then yours.

Can we all just be honest and admit that we are only upset because we can't even pop a wheelie on our gravel bike? That was legitimately amazing skill.
  • 2 0
Super impressive riding... I don't get the whole hype about gravel bikes, but I love watching people doing trial stuff on them... must be so difficult from that position...
  • 14 0
So incredibly impressive how capable not only people are, but modern bikes. Reminds me of Yoann Barelli hitting A-Line on his cross bike a few years ago, great stuff!
  • 10 3
A cross bike on A-Line sounds very cool. For some reason this edit doesn't work for me. As an earlier comment noted, it takes itself a bit too seriously.
  • 7 1
@cpigg: Yeah, seconded on taking itself too seriously.

This is clearly ridiculous, so keeping it light would have been a better tone for the edit.
  • 2 0
"Few years ago" more like over 6years ago! So crazy doing that on A-line
  • 3 4
@cpigg: What is there too seriously for you?

watching this video feels like getting invited to church youth group when i was 13. nothin against kenny or his skills, just does
  • 2 0
 Why church?
  • 9 0
Just an observation, but at 2:30.....anybody ever try that pizza place? Just curious to how it is.
  • 9 1
Crazy skills, but a heli stunt in Arkansas? That's the stuff of a SNL skit.
  • 7 1
I think it would be cool to see like a 60 foot drop from a helicopter on a downhill bike.
  • 6 0
"dropping" out of a chopper with one skid on the ground to make the take-off more stable wasn't doing it for ya? Yeah, me neither.
  • 1 0
Not quite 60 but there you go: www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CR0QmCaMTs
  • 6 0
This was actually how Mathieu van der Poel was going to show up for Worlds, but he hurt his back so they called Kenny.
  • 8 2
Kenny handled the drop better than MVDP would have.
  • 6 0
A death defying 2 ft. drop off the copter landing gear...what a waste of fuel.
  • 8 3
This is the equivalent to the people I see commuting on $6k full suspension bikes.
  • 8 2
Falls Into the "possible, but why?" Catagory
  • 3 0
 Because he can.
  • 3 0
@tbubier: No kidding skillz and he makes it look easy....
  • 4 3
@tbubier: obviously he's an incredibly talented rider. But the riding looks more like a punishment than it looks like fun.
  • 2 1
@tbubier: but he doesn't can can
  • 1 0
 @fredddbg: very true.

I guess this is the way that Walmart informs the Pinkbike crowd that the 2022 UCI Cyclocross World Championships is in middle America this year? First I'd heard of it and I have one of those skinny tired anaerobic machines. Who is the favorite to win the mens and womens races this year?
  • 2 0
Whoever can master the start probably looks like it’s going to be from a helo this year
  • 1 0
Favourite for the men's is the current MTB Olympic champion.....
  • 1 1
@Starch-Anton: Nah, he will have a lead halfway through, but then will get caught at the end and give up like this week.
  • 5 0
 Cyclocross capital of the world!
  • 5 0
 Same video...same bike!? youtu.be/xWy5xX3-e3U
  • 2 0
Now that’s a vid that knows what it is!

Sort out some better music and am I the only one thinking that drop from the helicopter was maybe 4-5 feet. Its right skid was touching down.

Would have been better spending the helicopter money on something a bit more creative or original.

There are so many videos of people doing amazing things on bikes these days that it’s a bit difficult to do anything standout or original.

Ps.

I’ve just rewatched it and to be fair he’s done the helicopter drop at least twice. In the first angle he clearly lands rear wheel first. In the second angle he lands both wheels parallel to the slope.

The Waltons own a helicopter they fly around Arkansas and bike with, so I'm sure it was theirs and their money. I don't disagree with you though, felt forced at best.
  • 2 0
yea it was cool jumping out of a helicopter, but do modern cross courses have drops and jumps like that? or that rock garden?
or was that the xc course around there too?
  • 4 0
I’m not sure that all of that will be on the CX course. It is definitely on the XC course which made for some pretty nasty crashes at those races. All of those features have rollable B Lines, but it’s still a legit rock garden.
  • 1 0
I love riding my cross or gravel bike on single track as much as anybody but what I don't get is the guys who can do it in the drops. I have no confidence in the drops on sketchy terrain.
  • 4 0
 Gravelcross bike
  • 3 0
Great job, It's hard work to make drop bar bikes look fun ;-)
  • 1 0
Helicopter, its been done already, show some originality, ride down the
ramps of a C 17 in flight, push to new limits and all that tosh for views : )
  • 2 0
Image is very misleading - when he dropped te helicopter was actually touching the ground. Dissapointing.
  • 3 1
Great rider. Needs to hire Danny McCaskill's (Sp?) choreographer.
  • 3 4
Sad to see so much hate in this community! I would love to see those haters doing the same tricks.. I was totally impressed with the video and just disgusted about the ugly reactions here
  • 1 0
The pinker crowd tends to get a bit triggered at anything with drop bars.
  • 3 0
 Hole shot
  • 2 0
Is that Lance?! Tryin' to trick us again!??
  • 3 1
tf how is he doing that without suspension lol

This video is like watching Jim Carrey play basketball in The Cable Guy.

Next big thing would be an edit showing how to herd sheep on cyclocross
  • 1 1
I wanna buy a gravel bike for this but which frames can take that sort of a beating?
  • 1 0
 Gravslopedurocross is now a thing!

  • 1 0
 So dull.
  • 1 0
 But Why?
  • 1 0
 Tough crowd.
  • 2 4
Don't listen to the haters in the comments. That was a dope edit and those stunts take just as much skill as any mtb edit
