bigquotesThis was an extremely gnarly trail to be practicing blind, super unnatural rock that was nowhere near smooth. Jesse Melamed

For all future visitors, the trail is called Natal and is a ca 20-30 minute pedal from the Machico beach front It was SS2 in EWS Madeira in 2019

Was there (EWS100) and that stage scared me the most, some of the other vids with super gopro smoothing effect made it look tame, at least JM's give's an idea of how sketchy it was - didn't realise how imprinted on my brain it was till watching this nearly a year later and I knew what was coming round each corner !

Whenever I watch these POV vids I try to guess which line they'll take based on what I can see, most amateur guys I can guess (since it's the line I'd take), but guys like Jesse and Sam take very unique lines even among the pros it seems.

Not sure what he means by 'unnatural rock' but anyway, the stage and scenery look incredible! Amazing POV.

I'm used to smooth rock, and big round rocks in the trail. This rock was very jagged and embedded into the ground sticking out at odd angles which really made it hard to judge.

@JesseMelamed: got you. BC rock is beautiful, and your POV makes this trail look stunning too!

@mexicanoportugal: It's still a fun trail! Just scary to go full speed!

@JesseMelamed: thanks for the clarification as all rock is of course natural, but riding on it doesn't always feel natural.. whatever the case though, you made it look natural! Beer

I would've washed out on the first corner with loose rock at about 1/4 the speed.
