Marco is likely one of the most frequently mentioned riders on the mountain bike internet at the moment, but a lot of those folks don't even realize they're talking about him.

One might know him better as Randy. Aka Send It Randy. Yes, that's the one. A moniker given to him by those who have been a part of his entrance to our bike world because, well, he sends it.

Hailing from Novato CA, and currently residing in Truckee CA. Having been groomed by Mark Weir, Ben Cruz, and Jerome Clementz has accelerated his success and humility almost as much as his speed. His style has become refined over the last few years. Fluid on the bike and able to create any shape necessary to weave his chosen path down the trail.

Marco is well known on the EWS circuit not only for being wild on the bike, but for preferring to go fishing on the days leading up to practice opposed to hunting down race courses. Humble by nature and a genuine human being make him perfect fit for Transition Bikes. We are excited see him continue his travels along the 2019 Enduro World Series as we help share his story. If you happen to get a chance to meet him, shake his hand and introduce yourself. He loves it. Maybe he'll even take you fishing.

"The spirit of grassroots racing is not dead. Marco holds all the old values of life and the bike. You can feel his motivation in just a smile. For Christ sake the kid can onsight better than anyone in a fair game and make them re-think their training. He sleeps under the stars in a snow storm and brings a community wherever he goes."

- Mark Weir / MTB Legend, good friend of Transition Bikes and mentor of Marco Randy Osborne

"I'm stoked to announce I will be teaming up with Transition Bikes in 2019! Feeling so fortunate to be given this opportunity and start this new chapter in my career. Excited for this new adventure and to ride alongside such a like minded brand, after all we're 'Engineered to Party!'"

"I've known and raced alongside Marco for years and have watched him earn his way up the ranks to the highest level. When I learned that he was going to be un-supported after 2018 I jumped at the chance to work with him. He's a perfect fit within our family and a madman on the bike. We share the same ethos and have mutual objectives - Party in the woods! More than anything I'm just stoked to be able to support and work with such a good person."

Marco flew into Bellingham and was riding and filming within an hour. With unpredictable storms passing through, we shot as much as possible in the two short winter days we had. Luckily Chaz and Jimmy were able to make time in their busy schedules to join us.

@kookseverywhere: chill. Odds are super good Cannondale will have Ratty and some other 50/1 boys on their roster.

@freestyIAM: given ratty's recent results it begs the question again: Cannondale has zero big name riders??

  • 2 1
@thesharkman: yo bro you ever hear of a media pro? It’s not all about racing nowadays
  • 2 1
@CycloGoss: back in the day results were king but now it’s media pro’s (entertainers) that rule. . . . . . I miss the old days!

"Randy, who is that guy's fast buddy, got a new sponsor." That would be an ideal headline

Transition needs to lighten the heck up and quit making such serious videos.

Fuck yes Ronny. What a fucking rider, perfect fit.

I think we all know that Randy joined Transition because of their TITS, PABST and Huck to Flat technologies.

 Interesting...Lars running an X2
  • 2 1
Why? Probably the most recognized shock anywhere, ever....
  • 1 0
@pargolf8: because in the past when inquiring to transition about using that shock their answer has always been "that shock is not suitable for sentinel stick with dpx2"
  • 2 0
talking about trout, no doubt! epic

 Marco!
  • 9 11
Sick combo... hoping Transition makes a longer travel 29er.
  • 5 2
 Sentinel, eh?
  • 5 2
@POWsLAYER: I think he means the sentinel is kind of a 29er scout, and he wants a 29er patrol.
TLDR he wants moooar travel
  • 5 0
@zede: Isn't the Sentinel already a total monster truck?
  • 3 0
@jzPV: I have never riden it so I don't know, but the ransom has 170mm of rear travel, and the sentinel 140mm. jaydawg just wants more travel, maybe he wants a 29 TR11 ?
  • 6 6
@jzPV: 140mm is no monster truck and I think this bike will struggle on some of the EWS tracks. What would be wrong with a 29er patrol? Just makes sense.
  • 4 0
It’s a fair comment chaps. I’ve heard a few riders wishing the bike had a bit more travel. Like the geo is so dialled the rear end struggles to keep up. Haven’t ridden one myself but it’s not difficult to imagine an update to a longer stroke shock on that bike.
  • 6 0
I had a 2016 Carbon Patrol, and now a 2019 Carbon Sentinel, and the Sentinel is far more capable and plush than the Patrol ever was.
  • 2 0
@zede: what is the Smuggler for $400 Alex.
  • 1 1
@Brahma: 3 yrs difference, different suspension and setup. 170mm bike with the same geo is going to be more capable than 140mm....
  • 2 1
@jaydawg69: to validate your point, ive been on transition almost exclusively since 2012 and all I want is a POLE to ride now
  • 1 0
@POWsLAYER: the Pole EWS team is running the Stamina (180mm) and not the Evolink (140mm). Pretty easy concept to understand @Brahma
  • 4 0
@jaydawg69: yeah, I know. the only poles I want have Stamina
  • 4 0
@Brahma: yeah I tell people don't get caught up on the Sentinel's travel it feels endless.
  • 3 1
@cole-bikeva: yes, the number alone says nothing. I've ridden bikes with 180 mm which felt more useless than my 160/150 mm enduro.
  • 2 0
@POWsLAYER: Beer gogglers need not apply...Where's my carbon Scout (sans pinstriping)? Where's my carbon Smuggler tire clearance? I wish their graphics guy would consult you.

The endless bottomlessness is getting endlesser

Looks like a bit of a Ronnie Mac rip off to me with the PBR and all.
