by SCOTT Sports

This latest installment of Sundays in Châtel takes you on a journey to the Châtel bike park as seen through the eyes of Mateo Verdier. This young shredder lives a dream life splitting his time between Queenstown in winter and Châtel in the summer. The only thing that matters to him is spending time on his bike. We followed him during the summer and his sessions with Vinny-T, Antoine Buffart and friends.

Check out this channel if you missed any of the previous episodes.

bigquotesFive years ago, I was watching videos of Vinny-T or Antoine Buffart thinking that these guys were sick and now I'm riding with them. It's a dream come true for sure!

bigquotesAnything steep and soft would do it. Surfing is the best!

Style for miles for Mateo on the upper part of the Vorrachattack.

France is now a place to live: great riding spots, best riders in the world, and the best electro music. and the avocado/tuna convinced me as well.....

Sweet vid....and a thumbs up for SwitchFive. I’ve been riding at Chatel for the past 3 summers with my son, last year his brake master cylinder blew its guts out...Dropped in to SwitchFive’s shed at the lift base, Mateo located the internal parts at another shop in the village by calling a mate, sent me down to get ‘em, he fitted the bits, re-bled and we were back on the uplift within an hour! Fantastic customer service...super nice guy, great mechanic and stylish rider...see you next year!

Hell yeah Mateo!! Got a chance to ride with this homie at Queenstown - we're gonna need a similar video of him ripping that bike park a new one whenever they let us filthy tourist back in.

So much style. Very cool. Chatal surpass Morzine for best part in Europe now?

It's so different, Morzine, the Pleney has some of the best secret, natural (not so secret) trails anywhere in the world. Main line and the Red are also very good but lack jumps of any size, however the red has just had a makeover and now sports some decent doubles! Super Morzine on the Avoriaz side is an amazing park with some decent hip jumps, tables, gaps and serious roots. Chatel wins for jumps that's for sure, but does lack more natural. The Portes du Soleil as a whole is unreal and never forget Morgins and Champery! Loads more info on www.mtbbeds.com

But wait ! Here's good news ! They are actually next to each other ! You can bike from one place to the other ! Both are part of the "portes du soleil" area.

Châtel surpass Whistler for best park in the world now ?

Voila mon humble avis lol.

@mtb-beds: That's only because you don't know the secret natural stuff in Chatel ;P

@SintraFreeride: Dis moi tu roulais pas en Banshee y a quelques annees ?

BTW don't care about @mtb-beds they don't support the local economy, they pay taxes in the UK and some of their customers were pretty racists and dodgy AF. Your favourite anthem is probably "kill the Frenchs" and I remember when one of your racist guests met one of my riding friend from the french army it was so cute lol.

After Brexit those racists have nothing to do in France and in the EU. When you speak to those guys in France in French, because you don't know them, they say " I don't speak monkey" or "rorororo" or "no baguette".
