by GoPro

With deep, jungle foliage on one side of the mountain and fast, dry singletrack on the other, Sintra can offer you a 360° mountain bike experience all in one day. Scotty Laughland and Micayla Gatto headed to the Portugese coast to sample as much of this mtb paradise as they could.

Follow along with GoPro athlete and all-around bloody good chap, Scotty Laughland, as he explores trails, trail networks, and the local scene in our new five-part series: Track Down. Where will his GoPro travel with him this season? Europe. Did you catch the previous episodes? Check out Episode 1 here and Episode 2 here.

Sintra, and most of Portugal, are stunning. I can't wait to get back over there with my bike and a rental van for a few weeks.

Give me a nice feeling seeing my home country being featured in such a nice way - I’ll even forgive you guys for not using music from r.a.m.p or xutos.... but that’s ok, copyright and all that jazz.....

Rode with #weride.pt for 2 weeks couple years back. Great guys, great trails, and an experience I'll never forget.
Highly recommended if your riding there to hook up with these guys. Just watch out for the #superbock..haha.

Of course the sun isn't shining on all 365 days of the year, but there's something about Sintra's dirt that makes it handle water really well. It doesn't get muddy or sloppy, it actually gets better with water, even lots of it. Also it always seems to stop raining the moment I get there. Maybe the trees condense the water on the leaves and then funnel it down through the branches...

Love scotty, even if I was sad when he left GMBN, what he's doing now is just awesome. Plus, I'm pumped about the girls coming into freeride such as Micayla or Veronique sandler. Let's hope someday there'll be female riders rampage edition, and hardline too. This would just be the best. Awesome filming also.

Anyone is eligible for rampage now - they do not exclude female riders.

Gotta love these GoPro comps. And the winner of a new, fancy, expensive GoPro is, a best/fanciest/more-money-spent GoPro owner! Perfect!

Great to see the Sintra trails and weride getting featured on pinkbike!
PS: Scotty Laughland the start of the "Donkeys" trail is around 480m not 600m as you stated.
