![]() | This is my version of riding. I know what you guys are expecting and I'll tell you right now. There are no massive hits, or lofty spectacles, but, and this is a big but, there is riding. Don't get me wrong. I, like most of you love, myself a proper jump. But putting a bike through its gears on the ground is the reason I ride. Heaps of speed, corners of every variety, and long and low hits. I mean if you are going to build something, why not make it a direct representaion of how you ride? Incorporate the aspects you love and hopefully others will enjoy it too. Mike Hopkins |
![]() | It's taken a little while but it's come to my attention that I've been doing it wrong all these years. Why the hell I've spent countless days building disconnected pieces of trail is beyond me. The whole build, film, abandon, format doesn't exactly justify the effort. Rather than build a ''One and Done'' I put the sweat into something that would see more traffic than my treads alone. So I built this trail, the one in the video, to serve as an addition, to Rossland's ever expanding trail network: it's something that can be ridden by anybody. I get to give back to the community that raised me, all the while you all get a new trail extension. Better for you and more rewarding for me, chalk it up as a Win-Win. The doors to the Loam Factory are ''Open.'' Mike Hopkins |

Love this quote, build the trail based on your style. But til the jumpers come in and top all your jumps to kickers.
section on unReaL. Don't get me wrong, semanuks riding is amazing, just his section in unreal felt a little "sterile". This video feels more real..
