We're super lucky to have the I Street Bike Park here in Salt Lake, it's such an amazing training ground for our young riders! Many thanks to all those who pitch in to maintain it and keep it amazing!
They're all so crazy talented. I've been following those Mallen kids for several years now and watching their progression has been insane and inspirational. The potential for kids learning slope/freeride these days is truly limitless.
These kids are rippin it up! Thread title is a little misleading though... when did DJ'ing become synonomous with freeriding? Im sure they can hammer a freeride line, but call it what is. You see 'freeride' and 'Utah' in the same sentence and it has you thinking a certain way.
Great to see the young ones killing it, but please... Act normal. You're growing up in one of the whitest cities in one of the whitest states, and judging by the bikes they're riding, don't even remotely know the meaning of the word hardship or oppression, which are the driving forces of hip hop.
@fotop - This virus kills so you sir are a fool #1. #2 The name of the team is "Outlaws" so the bandana's are a play on being bad ass outlaws on bikes. Maybe stop hating and try to have some fun eh? Good luck with that.
Just because they have a nice bike doesn’t mean anything... they’re not spoiled their parents make sacrifices to give them what they have, I have young kids and their bike is as nice as mine but we make sacrifices to make that happen. I don’t have a new truck, and we don’t have new vehicles we would prefer to have our kids have things that we can enjoy together as a family... live together adventure together and make memories... that’s what life is about. Love these kids, and the rockstar adults helping them to adventure in life.
@downhillslayer: It just seems like there are so many "Groms" out there these days that ride these insane bikes and riding locations, yet don't realize how lucky they are to some kids their age who likewise wouldn't have access to things these kids do. it's totally a personal sacrifice their parent might make to make stuff like this happen. we all are entitled to our own opinion!
@prmtb04: someone worried about appearing privileged, and worried that some like you would be so jealous about that they feel like they need to make comments about it. You should seriously look into ways of improving your self esteem.
@unrooted: First of all, I don’t need you to give me advice on my self esteem, that’s a very personal matter. Secondly I’m not worried to the point of jealousy about these kids, they’re outside, riding bikes, living their best lives and that’s awesome. I’m just trying to make a point in giving gratitude where due, and seeing it’s not of importance in this case, then that’s that and nothing else.
