Rad, a bike being ridden well on good trails. I'm expecting some complaining but ya can't stop that.

 Where was the trail??? Props!!!

shimano ep8 rattles like an old armchair. About silence...

Cannot tell me that he is not high level riding just because it is an ebike. Wink

all cut scenes from strange angles to make the features seem bigger... don't be fooled by camera tricks. Plus his electronic motor bike looks like a second behind him in every shot.

@DroppingThreeTwoOne: Let's see a video of you riding a regular bike and him riding an ebike on the same trails. Then compare. Wink

Does anybody recognize the trails he is riding? Based on the scenery, I think it must be somewhere in the North California foothills.
  • 2 1
Yes, many different trails in N.Ca

Most likely unsanctioned trails in or around mount Diablo, shell ridge, lime ridge or Briones

@ElStig: It’s not. These are my home trails, they are in Stockton.

@Dnik: Stockton....right. Let me head right over there to see that drop at 1:13.

@Dnik: If you are going to lie, you have to pick somewhere more believable than Stockton. Maybe you are protecting the trails you ride considering you are located in Martinez but Jubal's Instagram shows him riding iconic trails at lime ridge and Briones. Having grown up in the area and ridden most of the trails in the video, it's cool to see the trails getting shredded properly on the main page of Pinkbike!

@ElStig: Did you just use lime ridge and "iconic trails" in the same sentence? Lol.
  • 2 3
@RBoardman234s: LOL if you live in the 680 corridor pretty mediocre trails become iconic when they are accessible for after-work rips.
  • 2 3
@Dnik: The start of the vid is the road into Borges Ranch at the base of Diablo as is the nice lush greenery single track most of the rest is Briones across the valley from Diablo. Rode all the those trails long before anyone paid any attention to bikes (late 70’s early 80’s). Such a shame with so many great trails and open space the State park, EB Parks or even WC Open space aren’t more accommodating to all users since we all pay for it, there is plenty of room for all users if managed right…

@ElStig: if you're riding mediocre trails in the 680 corridor, you either don't know where the goods are or you're choosing them over righteous double blacks. Only complaint anyone can have about our locals are how sketchy and dry they are 3/4 of the year. Nowhere near mediocre though.

... And You're right, It is nice to see local filmmakers, riders and trails on PB, but when somebody asks where trails are, it's pretty easy to say just say East Bay in the comments section of a global website rather than specifically naming spots. Doesn't make you look like as much of a kook.

Riding looks great and sound is impressive, but I don't get why they did this concept on a bike where you can hear the motor rattling

Another epic video by Mr. Boxold. Jubal's sick as always.

Did anyone else hear the 'sound' of van doors at the start of the video? spooky.
