 No Clayspades?...then you suck!

Agreed. 29,737 views but reminds me of classic early Coastal Crew. It's a must see folks: m.pinkbike.com/news/clayspades-airdrop-bikes-video-2016.html

McGazza video for sure! One of the nicest , and my personal favorite free rider. That video tugs on the old heart strings. And no Tippie for PM he is all ours, would honestly probably do a better job than our current one! P.S. Bryn Atkinson videos will always be my favorites, raw, fluid, and fast! He looks to be having so much fun in all his vids!

@yokev is being tricked by the extremely high shutter speed the video is shot in, making certain motion, like the leaves, look odd (call it the Saving Private Ryan/Black Hawk Down battle effect). But the director is telling the audience this at the outset with the shot of the waterfall which is how water looks at high shutter speeds. But look at the leaves again, because the speed of gravity does not change and thus no matter what speed a rider goes through them at, they will fall (flutter) to the ground at the same speed. You can see here that while the leaves do have a strobe-like look from the high shutter speed, they are falling to the ground at a natural speed.

 Uh, no I'm not.
I have an app that looks at something in the video(s) of a known size, then times the rider going past it.
The speed is calculated from that. It's not spot on, but it's as accurate as my GPS speedo.
And FWIW, unless dude in the vid is actually riding 80mph+, the vid was sped up, EOS.

@YoKev: the film would look extremely odd when he jumps as the speed of gravity is constant and he would be landing really fast and not look realistic. Kind of like the old silent movie comedies where characters jumped up and down real fast. The eye would notice something off with gravity if they sped it up even one or two frames. While they could speed up him hitting corners and not doing it for the jumps theoretically, he is hitting the jumps at the same speeds he is attacking the rest of the trail.

@Rubberelli: *Acceleration due to gravity. Haha sorry, engineering nerd here. But you're 100% right otherwise
  • 2 0
@mtbpkdude: I'm not sure if you're saying there is acceleration during to gravity or referring to something I said, but once again acceleration due to gravity is constant because gravity is a constant. A fast rider will fall to the earth the same speed as the slow rider once they hit the apex of their upward thrust. The fast rider will go further down the trail and have more upward momentum, but the descent to earth speed will be the same, and the fast rider's forward momentum will leave him in the air longer because his decent is more parallel rather than perpendicular to the ground due to his speed. So no matter how fast or slow a rider is going, any video sped up or slowed down, even a tiny bit, will be perceptibly odd to anyone because of a lifetime of seeing all things interact with gravity.

@Rubberelli: Yea that's what I was referring too. Gravity has a constant value of acceleration, not speed.

 Remy FTW !

That was a great video! It's so hard to make a single point-of-view angle interesting, but they did it right. Really creative!

And just seen no Bernard Kerr. Sure George's sunset was beautiful but you can't beat Bernard's stoke machine edit: m.pinkbike.com/news/bernard-kerr-queenstown-living-2-video-2016.html

Im only in to the #1 video, 29 seconds in. Between 27s. and 31s. specifically.

There seems to be a Matrix type moment of sorts.

Simple turns done with rippen speed/awesome skills.

Impressive riding

Edit before I can't: Video #2 is straight up balls. And I have yet to see the next clip.

I love how much we all love riding. Its such a great thing this life offers!

#1 easily got the biggest stoke factor
#2 lame excuse for VOM with POV shots all the way
#3 music totally softened the vibes
#4 McGazza tribute 5* - VOM no.
#5 Brendog vid great, but doesn't quite give the stoke like #1.

#1 gotta be #1 for me!

I just realised why I remain such a bad rider. Because so many years at PB videos I was looking at the bikes and not at... the riders!!!
