Watching the preview they are now using an F1 style pit lane for the Tech/Feed Zone. This seems to be a change that hasn't been mentioned before? Wounder if this adds an advantage to not taking on water / gels in a lap?
yeah that wasnt really clear. its a long lane on grass, where the main track is tarmac so a bit of a disadvantage. possible the pit lane is only for actual mechanicing, and bottles can still be passed over the fence? I always wonder how much they actually drink, they must be being given part filled bottles, maybe with different electrolytes at different stages of the race?
@AyJayDoubleyou: they drink when they can, not always caught on camera. Usually, you go with like a half filled bottle, and grab a new one when you can need to. Not sure about the split because pretty much every lap riders take a bottle, especially if it’s hot. They cool them selves down etc. The split makes sense for mechanical
In the US you can just get a GCN+ subscription for DH and XC. You can also watch some big road and gravel races there as well. Seems like a deal, I didn’t know where to watch things like the Giro before this all came about.
That wasn't bad at all.Still probably gonna hold off til DHI begins in June. Would be good to hear Bart say the course was dursty on Friday but murdy on Sunday, however.Parts of the course will remain burmpy in any event.
Put this man on non ebike so he has to breath and can pause the commentary. Also, I don't need to constantly keep seeing the commentator, I'm here for the course.
