@audeo03: Legit. We have 2 littles and I've been sick since August with their germ lovin ways, but a good climb clears up the lung butter.

This kind of video made me want to ride mtb ten years ago. And It still do.
  • 11 1
Agreed. This is one of the realest pieces of content I've seen on here in a while. No BS, just shredding because shredding is fun, no other agendas.

nawwww have to save those spots for dudes that throw a flat 3-lookback or straight backflip on the same line, every year, year after year. no room for dudes like this that would so obviously disrupt the good ol' boy club

but did his frame get snappy?
  • 13 1
Evil bikes are rad. Insurgent is the best bike I've ever ridden. Coming from a Patrol and Nomad previously. The Patrol snapped... But dont tell commenters that who don't have any experience on one, their heads might explode
  • 3 1
@srh4508: Checking in with an Offering. Absolute riot. Lots of sends to flats. All issues tend to be on my body and not my bike.
  • 8 0
@srh4508: I know a lot of guys who ride Transitions, and a few who have absolutely destroyed some. One guy literally tore the shock mount out of the seat tube on his Scout. Truthfully though all bikes break if you slam em hard enough, especially if you're a big guy.
  • 3 1
@srh4508: I love what transition does for mtb, but nothing rides like an evil.
  • 7 1
@Ianjmalcolm: Haha same! I cased a big step down and thought for sure my bad line might of broke the bike but it was rock solid. Riots!

@WaterBear: Truth! All bikes can break, carbon or metal. When my Patrol cracked near the BB Transition was awesome and had me a new front triangle within a few days. Hopefully the folks you know got the same support.

@Muchogusto: Well said! Both are awesome companies. I thought the Patrol was a solid bike, but I never fully got along with the linear rear suspension. Once I had a chance to throw my leg over the Insurgent I was blown away. There is some real magic going on with the Delta linkage.

Outside of Walmart and Costco anyone would be hard pressed to find a "bad" bike these days. We live in a heck of a time for mtb geo and tech. If people spent as much time shreddin as they did trollin they might realize it's them and not the bike that is holding them back. One bike may perform better than another in certain aspects, but for the trails I seek out I couldn't pick a better bike than the Insurgent! At 6' and riding for good times, loving the shorter chainstays and the MX configuration. Haven't had any issues grinding out a climb, even in the XLow setting, and on the downhills good lord is it rowdy. Sure it's not as stable in a straight line as a long high pivot 29er, but for everything else its a beast and still plenty stable when going warp speed. With all the marketing going on some people new (or old) to the sport likely get overwhelmed and end up with a purebred race bike they prob have no business on. Mountain biking to me is being in the woods with friends laughing and fist bumping while encouraging others to embrace the same mentality. People are judgy as F$&# these days and it's weird to see the direction the overall vibe is going. Get off Strava and focus on the radness of the sport.

Also, Paul absolute banger video!!

@srh4508: Thats unfortunate about the Transition, what generation Patrol did you have? I have a gen 1 and its held up to 6 years of riding so far, but its got a massive dent in the downtube so we will so how long it lasts
  • 1 0
@Aboulderbiker: Gen 3 I think. 2019 carbon build, the gen before it went mullet.

Paul Sangiovese - His riding is like sipping on an exquisite Italian red wine?

Might be a bit high brow

Pauly G sounds like someone off of Jersey Shore though
