Carpe Diem was filmed during the end of July at Highland Mountain, Burke, and Killington. I grew up riding at these parks, and to now do a film project on the trails was a rad opportunity.
For this project I was very fortunate to have many good friends help out. Calvin Huth, Kyle Lieberman, and Harry Fetter crushed it on the cinematography. On the still photography side, Peter Cirilli came through with the snaps. Lastly, for post production, Keith White did the sound design, John Rogers colored the piece, and I edited the project.— Peter Jamison
That wall ride / quarter pipe air should not be underestimated!! Going That big up a proper quarter on a mtb is not easy, never mind a "ramp" with a bout 4 ft of transition and 10ft of vert!
Traction for days. Vid is enough to make me go to Highland at least once more before the season ends. The first few runs with frosty trails and 30 degree temps are tough.
Kind of demonstrate why current rampage is not that impressive anymore, buffed up jumps on flow trails is not very interesting to watch same reason i don't watch Fest highlights. i know i would never hit those huge jumps, but from a spectators point of view, a bit boring.
