Video & Race Report - Trans Madeira 2019: Race Day 1

Jun 5, 2019
by Trans Madeira

The first day of the 2019 Trans Madeira is in the books. Riders rode dusty trails, drank colds beers and shuttled on a tuna fishing boat back to camp! With 140 racers from 25 nations there was plenty of action on the stages and new friendships made.

Today’s racing took place on the East side of the Island, taking in many of the trails raced in the recent EWS.

53km // 1445m Up // 2910m Down

Is this a troll or genuinely serious?

@Shieldsy94: Its not serious, Madeira is one of the best spots for trail/endure riding in the world and probably the only one to which I keep going back

@Shieldsy94: Yup, defo serious don't go. Massive disappointment. Cold, wet and warm beer alongside an insular island mentality.

Woah, wait! that's the UK. Ignore me.
