national jerseys + everyone is on a commencal anyway=hard time recognizing the riders

So much blue-white-red. Maybe a certain Island voting for isolation could run the white-red or white-blue only so at least it's only US and France running the tricolor..?

@FredrikWestman: We should probably go with the red and white option. Sadly I feel the blue in our flag may well be getting removed before too long anyway. Yay, potentially even more isolation.

 Where are the training ramps?

Nothing like the sound of bikes being smashed in the morning.

We have the best sport in the world.

This course could really use a giant wooden on/off whale tail thing at the finish.

I really hope the feature you are eluding to plays better than how boring and uncreative it looks. Or maybe the guys/gals will just send it fro first ramp to dirt.

My biggest realization watching this is how quiet bikes are (save for hubs) and how nice it is. Do not miss the days of the boxy old Norco VPS bikes and Specialized Big Hits rattling down the trails, sounding ready to explode. What a time to be alive.

Mmh just had a pizza for lunch and watched this.
Thanks for sharing, made my shitty work-from-home day alot betterSmile

If you had pizza for lunch it can't be that bad!

Riding all thru the mid 1990's, early 2000's, still wows me how quiet modern bikes are. Listening to a 'Raw' edit of this same course is say 1999 you would think each bike is about to fall apart or explode....many did

How do things work at worlds in regards to equipment and mechanics, etc. Do the different teams send all the normal staff, do all the mechanical work, then the rider puts on a national jersey?

 Man, what a chunky course

Watching this and watching the footage from the 2008 race. It seems me that in 2008 they had a lot more trees padded and more safety nets. I could be wrong.

Course has the potential to be flowy if they all just nutted up and went a bit faster. Doesn't look too rough to me

Is this the raw material for Ben's line choice analysis?

Was there a rider in Atherton kit riding a Commencal in there? Around the 10:12 timestamp?
  • 1 0
Just watched on... Plate #53 riding a nukeproof, not a Commencal. Right around 15:15 you get a good view.

@pilsz: Think it's Ronan Dunne on Nukeproof

That track is mental. Would take me a week just to walk down it. Kudos to all the participants!

Watch a 19 minute video before commenting? Or have the first comment and nothing to say about the video?
