Nov 11, 2021
by Rémy Métailler

It was a pleasure to follow Mason Mashon in the Traditional Territory of the Lil'wat Nation for today's video. Mason [Saddle Lake Cree descent] is a talented multi-sport athlete, and also a professional photographer. In this episode, we discuss the importance of land acknowledgement, and some of the resources available to help others do so as well.

I don't think I've ever seen a video where he actually has the One Up EDC tool in the stem?

 He has another tool sponsor.

I think you have a Canadian goose or two caught in your wheels @5:08. ...honestly my preferred alternative to a bell.
Nice edit, well done. Fall riding is the best riding

I have probably ridden that trail somewhere in the neighborhood of 50-60 times. It is top five all time ever. Man that bottom section is fast. Soooooooooooo good

How is it that over on the Brooke Goudy/POC mtb video, the comments are the pretty typical (terrible) discourse on racism but over here where the video addresses land acknowledgement, there's not a peep? A significant part of the sentiment of a land acknowledgement is a recognition of the genocide committed by europeans. I hope that's not a controversial thing... but no one has anything to say about this?

here you go: it's exhausting, politically correct pandering and it will run it's course in a year or 2 but is presently all the rage in Canada. yet another virtue signal that everyone has jumped on the bandwagon. better?
