 WOW, crazy lines/gaps!
Squamish is definitely home for you Rem!
mind blowing speed, crazy braking skills
PROPS man
  • 18 1
 Always in control
  • 81 1
That is a serious understatement–I've never seen someone ride this kind of terrain like that. You're one of a kind Remy!!!! Holy f*%^in cow that was nuts.
  • 29 0
This is the craziest riding I’ve maybe ever seen
  • 9 0
 Jesus Christo! Absolutely ridiculous!!
  • 5 0
If you need a bike stalker, just hit me up. Unbelievable style, speed, and control. I literally cannot believe what I'm watching. The best riding I've seen on film in a long time.
  • 2 0
Just Fing insane. All that stuff is so steep and so huge in person. Wow.
  • 14 1
Props for crediting Squamish Nation! More people should follow suit.
  • 5 0
These camera angles are also pretty amazing!!
  • 2 0
It must be terrifying to have those skills and have so much insanity planned when you pop out on the bike!
  • 10 0
@mayha49: that's what stood out for me. Impossible to judge definitively, but Remi may have the best bike control in the game today. If anyone else is combining ridiculous freeride lines with this level of precision and speed, they're not filming it...
  • 6 0
This is just so mind-blowing. I can't understand how someone can hit such steep technical lines so fast. I felt sick in the stomach just watching this!
  • 5 0
of all the things in this video that are mind-blowing , its the braking skills which are just unbelievably precise
  • 4 0
His precision and transitions are unbelievable. Wow..
  • 188 3
That, for me, was better than watching rampage.
  • 16 0
 Agreed
  • 15 0
I was just thinking that some sort of Rampage@Squamish would be incredible. No digging - just ride the existing lines. Problems with spectating? For sure. Just get me a bunch of drones and cameras out there and I'll watch from the bar, thanks.
  • 35 0
Agreed. More relatable. On half of those hits, it's the run out that's the most impressive. It's one thing to send it. It's another thing to send it into a landing that runs out on steep, techy trails that are lined with pointy immovable objects.
  • 21 0
@number44: Squampage!!!!! Thats a great idea
  • 7 1
Remy needs an invite to the next Hardline race. I think he can throw down. Crazy fast and he will find gaps to save seconds over the rest of the field.
  • 5 0
@number44: there are very few people who can ride these lines this fast. Maybe only one, in which case you just watched the entire Squamish Rampage.
  • 3 0
@plyawn: Maybe ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ or maybe we just watched the winning run (which would be kind of a spoiler), but I'd still love to watch runs by all the best after a few days of practice. I mean, there are very few people who can ride Rampage lines like the competitors too.
  • 128 1
I just watched that again, Remy that was unreal bud. This is the best clip I’ve seen in sometime
  • 35 0
Ditto that! When you've seen any of that stuff in person this is absolutely mindblowing. Amazing work @remymetailler !
  • 14 0
@VorsprungSuspension: I thought about it throughout the day. This is the best video for 2020......and I’m partial to DH / race oriented videos. Well done
  • 5 0
@VorsprungSuspension: No Kidding. I ride Alice lake network often. Seeing those pro lines in person and thinking who the hell would send that?
  • 4 0
@VorsprungSuspension: even if you havent seen it in person... woohwee
  • 8 0
@lastminutetech: this was faster than most race videos and bigger than most free ride videos. Like Josh Bender and Greg Minnaar in one.
  • 3 1
'Make edits great again' - Remy, you've done us all a favour, thanks!!!
  • 2 0
@VorsprungSuspension: Totally agree. Those lines are hard to ride slowly, much less gapping the entrances and hitting them with speed. I've run up those last slabs / drops in the video and nauseated even looking over the edge and can't figure out how he can even scrub speed at the bottom.
  • 109 1
Damn Remy, those are some ridiculous lines. Good stuff.
  • 47 2
 Thanks Mike!
  • 3 0
@remymetailler: Had to put that on the big screen and wow!!! Pretty crazy, Frincken awesome
  • 2 0
@remymetailler: Remy, I think it's cheating when you don't ever touch the ground! I mean how can you get hurt if you never touch the rock! Great video!! This is the one I can show my kids and say "Daddy rides (some of) those lines." (They don't need to know that when I ride them that they look really slow and kind of awkward probably with my tongue sticking out..) Crazy stuff. I wondered who was going to hit those Smoke Bluff moves.
  • 99 1
The only way I knew he was mortal after perfection on the bike was the trouble he had at the end putting his glasses on his shirt.
  • 58 0
ahaha. Can't believe you spotted that.
  • 6 0
Is it bad that I was giggling too?? Some amazing riding there Remy!! Amazing!!
  • 6 0
@remymetailler: You clearly need a glasses coach Big Grin
  • 16 0
@friendlyfoe: terrible athlete for Julbo, I can't even attach my glasses to my jersey...
  • 9 0
@remymetailler: my 3,5 year old daughter wouldnˋt put on her sunglasses; I showed her the video today and told her the guy with bike wears the same brand as her sunglasses are, so they must be pretty cool - she wouldn’t take it off for the rest of the day. Kind of reverse marketing I guess
She also asked why you are flying all the time...
  • 89 0
yeaaaa so that was pretty sick. Remy's riding speaks for itself.
  • 5 0
 the Da Vinci of riding.
  • 70 1
 Video of the Year!
  • 52 0
Sick freeriding Remy! Even more impressive when you see those lines in person!
  • 4 0
Was wondering how many people are actually capable or ride these lines...
  • 42 0
Incredible riding and camera work! Video of the year?
  • 40 0
 Dude what in the fuck
  • 8 0
that's all I've got after watching too. what. the. fuuck.
  • 38 0
Everything is so gnarly. I can't imagine how that looks in person.
  • 10 1
Thoughts exactly, looks steep even on film.
  • 11 0
When he slows for some of the those moves, you KNOW it's bonkers.
  • 36 1
Wow, all that with an open face helmet. That's crazy! Crazy that he is so confident and does it so smoothly, but that' type of riding and terrain I think would call for a full-face.
  • 12 0
Now full face helmets only for going to the Moon and for social distancing.
  • 16 0
New rule, if you have to use ropes to scout it, it deserves a fullface!
  • 26 0
holy jaw-dropping savagery!!! I dont even know what just happened!! the whole video I was like, "WUUUUUUUUT"!?!?!!?

absolutely insane talent Remy!
  • 25 0
Smoothest big sender there is? Everything he does seems so utterly measured and controlled.
  • 25 0
Not going to lie. I forgot how fuckin fast this guy is.
  • 45 2
That's cause of Youtube... Made me slower for a bit...
  • 6 0
@remymetailler: Seems to me you caught back up no problem!
  • 24 1
 what just happened???
  • 3 0
 Exactly
  • 20 1
Seriously 10/10 riding. I've always wanted to see a nice shot of that hit on Marc My Word make it into a proper video—and I guess all that other stuff was pretty good too Smile
  • 17 0
this is probably one of the gnarliest videos i have ever seen!! :-) duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude, the speed and the gaps are mindblowing. insane.
  • 3 0
and that's with riding so smooth it downplays how ridiculously rowdy the terrain is. Unbelievable.
  • 21 1
 Your move, Yoann....
  • 18 0
 That's it. I'm getting a beach cruiser.
  • 16 0
Remy you should be proud as fuck of that edit. Riding was unreal!
  • 14 0
 Remy: Wow, just wow.
Major props for skill / courage / smoothness / humility. : )
Absolutely jaw dropping; stay well, my friend!
  • 8 0
 Thank you!
  • 15 0
Great riding @remymetailler - amazing to see bike park flow and speed on some of the most tech trails in the world!
  • 4 0
 Thanks coach!
  • 14 0
 WTF
  • 3 0
 I don't get it either
  • 9 0
That was absolutely wild. Seriously the best riding I've seen in ages -- And from the comments here, it seems that's a common sentiment. Even as someone who's in Squamish fairly often, I've never even seen the possibility of some of those lines.

Amazing work, @remymetailler and crew.
  • 11 0
All I can say is WOW.... and it’s about time he started posting videos again! One of my favorite people to watch!
  • 11 0
Those have been my go to trails for sometime and he rides them on a completely different level than anybody
  • 10 0
So many insane moves. The hucks on to steep slabs that require super precise after-landing brake control are super impressive to me.
  • 8 0
Ok what brakes is he running? Apologies if stated above. I’m in the market after running my new bike cut a month and realizing the oem brakes are the weak link in the kit. Disappointing. I want good modulation and decent stopping power for an aggressive trail bike ... not dh power saint level though. Decent weight , adjustable bite point, great modulation and reasonable powerful stopping power with smaller rear disk
  • 25 0
Hey I'm riding the Hayes Dominion A4. They were component of the year on Pinkbike. You won't be disappointed. You can find them here:
bit.ly/2CS5WZ1
  • 19 0
Will they also help me learn to manual, or should I just take them straight to the 50 ft gaps?
  • 16 0
@Beazy: You don't need good brakes to hit 50 foot gaps, you'd be surprised at how effective your face is at slowing you upon "landing".
  • 2 0
@remymetailler: Don't you have to use the brakes to know if they're actually good at slowing you down?
  • 10 0
What hell was that! That is crazy control & style on some techy & fast trails:O
  • 9 0
After a couple of years of no Whistler shreddits from Remy... we have been more than Squampensated with this. Best vid I've seen in a long while, big moves for big cajones!
  • 8 0
Love getting my mind blown by next level riding! That feeling of being surprised by the bar being raised, ... nothing better!
  • 9 0
And...he’s not a dick. Super talented, super humble and helpful. Keep them coming.
  • 5 0
This is the perfect bookend edit to that first “Remy Burns Whistler” edit long ago.

We all though that was insane back then. Little did we know what was coming in the future!

Holy crap, dude - you keep taking it to another level. So fun to watch.
  • 9 0
 unreal!
  • 9 1
that's some straight up Gangsta riding from Remy
  • 7 0
Am I even on the correct website cause I'm definitely not doing THAT sport. What in da f*ck? Just wow.
  • 4 0
Apart from all of that being crazy, something that really stood out to me is the ability to land ever so slightly front end first. I usually try to land flat or slightly back heavy because it feels safer but even small drops end up having huge impacts. Not sure I'd have the confidence to send drops letting the front come down first, but something to think about for sure!
  • 6 0
I think Remy actually outdid his legendary Whistler Park edit. This is next level. No-one is or ever has ridden Squamish as well as Remy.
  • 7 0
wow best so far, really cool
  • 7 0
Savage. This guy excels at mountain cycling.
  • 8 0
 OH A SQUIRREL
  • 4 0
The most ridiculous edit to come out in a long time. Not sure if his HR went over 100bpm the way he speaks after those hucks. Most of us get over 100bpm putting our shoes on! Saved to favorites.
  • 5 0
“Let me just repel down and check out my line.”

This has to be the best video I have ever watched! If this isn’t up for VOY something is wrong with the universe.
  • 3 0
This is the best and impressive "freeride clip I’ve seen since a quite long time... Congratulation to you Remy and to the filming staff.
A proud "cock a doodle do" with mass of cicadas in the background from south of France.
  • 3 0
I remember watching Remy's bike park edits and thinking, ok, this guys shreds the park. When he started posting his trail edits, I was like wow this guy has serious skills. This is just crazy beyond description. Remy is in the matrix.
  • 7 0
 That was awesome!!!
  • 6 0
Unimaginable line choices. Remy needs to be back in Rampage.
  • 3 0
Loved watching his speed, airtime, and style at Rampage. Get him back!
  • 5 0
I wouldn't abseil down most of that with a harness on...…..absolute lunatic.
  • 5 0
Insane. Some of the most technical riding I have seen and at a pace that I cannot even understand.
  • 6 0
Well that just took video of the year for me!
  • 6 0
The best riding clip I've ever seen hands down!! Unbelievable
  • 3 0
 www.pinkbike.com/video/418538

Awesome! This one is still one of my favorites. Saw Remy ride at Rampage once, still remember the announcer "It's not a race Remy". So fast
  • 3 0
By far my favorite video of the year. One of the smoothest steez in the game and this proves it. Bonus, also one of the nicest guy on the trail. Work of art Remy. Out did the Whistler videos for me.
  • 3 0
The way Remy judges speed on hits like these is just fantastic, you hit every feature as fast as physics (or your bike) will allow you to, and get it perfect every single time, just amazing to watch.
  • 3 0
WHAT THE HECK..... The speed he was attacking those trails with was unreal. A freerider with a racing background is the ultimate combo. Props to his camera man for capturing the gnarly terrain Remy was carving to bits.
  • 3 0
Damn Remy, you’re crazy my man. Stoked to see you back to the usual antics and blowing minds. Also the Chris’s squirrel comment at the end might be the most Chris thing I’ve ever heard haha. Nicely done both of you.
  • 2 0
That does it I am painting my forks Green and wearing a backpack, Green so when I bail I can find my bike and backpack to hold the T.P after I shit myself. Remy that was nuts the speed was truly frightening, zero margin for error. Wow
  • 6 0
 Unreal!!
  • 4 0
 Great movie.
  • 2 0
I was just thinking I should text you to make sure you've seen this. How long until your follow-up edit one upping Remi on these trails there buds?
  • 2 0
@punx691981: HA! in another lifetime my friend.
  • 5 1
I dunno why, but I think I might want to listen to hip hop again while riding
  • 5 0
Remy is good at bike riding
  • 3 0
This guy is fantastic. His tire and brake sponsors must hate him as he must go through tons of these. Man...to ride like that though.... awesome
  • 4 0
Insane. I don't think there is a single feature in that video that I could even walk down...maybe abseil.
  • 4 0
Really enjoying watching these videos. Remy is in a class of his own! more please 'Ride with Remy'
  • 5 0
 Remy t’es malade !

Skills, guts and more skills.
  • 6 0
 Hero in a half shell!
  • 3 0
Absolutely insane! When you have seen some of those trails/lines in person (and walked away from them) it's even more impressive.
  • 5 0
This makes me want to donate to the trail builders there...
  • 3 0
You're like: "Why is he slowing down so much?" And then the camera pans, and you're like, "Oh."
  • 4 0
So good! Thanks for the great video.
  • 2 0
Angry Midget is sick...but I did not have the guts to jump it in my rental Rocky Mountain slayer bike Frown . May be someday on my own bike! Smile
  • 3 0
I said "Wow!" outloud more than a dozen times in that video. Then watched it again. So glad to have you back Remy!
  • 4 0
Yea man that was sick, got me stoked!
  • 3 0
Remy!! Perfect perfect perfect! ????????????????????????????????????????????????Freeride King of Squamish!
  • 3 0
I had the chance to ride a fair bit of that in March.... What he does is pretty insane
  • 4 0
36mm can do it! And I want a Cube Remy edition.
  • 3 0
Anyone have video of someone riding that first feature at normal human speeds?
  • 9 0
The first feature is normally a wall ride drop or small drop, but in this video I pop before the take off. So it is way harder than the regular line. I actually did it for the first time for that edit at 8:30pm on the last day... It normally should be ridden like this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=84TVef_P9yw&feature=youtu.be (49s)
  • 3 0
Great to have the old vibe of your videos back! Glad I could help out a bit! Amazing to see those lines come together.
  • 4 0
Everyone said it here already Remy--you are the Master!! Geoff
  • 3 0
Cheers buddy! Well worth waiting for my Jade X, this thing is fire!
  • 3 0
Unreal and amazing! Thanks and cheers to all involved for producing this work of art.
  • 3 0
"I just donna wanta go too fast, cause if I go too fast i won't be able to slow down..."

Ummmm...what? you rip this edit!
  • 3 0
lemme rappel this section. Nah too scary, I'll just air my bike down this cliff
  • 2 0
Ha my ball just exploded! I'm going to put them back in my bike shorts and see if I can muster the courage to watch that insane shiz again.
  • 3 0
@remymetailler Thank you for sharing and showing me what I previously thought was impossible is doable, with style.
  • 4 0
Absolutely insane. IMO the best edit of 2020.
  • 2 0
Ok wasn't that rock at :41 one that was used quite often as a rock roll and he just gapped it? Or does it jut look like one that has been used in a lot of videos.
  • 4 0
It is on Entrails. I have never seen any video or heard of anyone doing it.
  • 3 0
This gets my vote for best edit of 2020. HOLY BALLS BRO! Insane skills and testicular fortitude beyond compare!
  • 3 0
Top work dudes! Can't remember the last time a video made my jaw drop but wow
  • 3 0
That was intense. Made my palms sweaty. Remy, you are on another level man.
  • 2 0
Dang Remy, I'm not watching videos for a long time after this edit. That was mindblowing sick. Definitely deserve the title THE KING OF DOUBLE BLACK DIAMOND TRAILS.
  • 4 0
 never disappoints
  • 3 0
This came together so well! Nice work bud another banger!
  • 4 1
I need to change my underpants
  • 3 0
gee...that doesn't look scary at all.
  • 4 0
 That was insane!
  • 3 0
DL Incognito always. I remember most of his edits use DL. The best.
  • 2 0
In fact he did use those 2 songs... I was shocked to hear some DL Incognito in his old edits (a french guy now living in BC and DL's from Toronto) but I would have preferred something new for this one but hey, at least it's still some good old hip-hop! Big Grin I must say the best was still with ''Ante Up'' from MOP...man that was an insane edit but sadly, I tried watching his old Whistler videos last week and no more music or was f*cked up!! But the sound of his riding only, without Ante Up, is really something special.... looked even more hardcore haha
  • 3 0
Damn, so perfect on the bike!
  • 4 1
 The definition of "Absolute Control".
  • 3 0
Well if that doesn't qualify for full face helmet...
  • 3 0
