Hitting smooth berms and jumps is a ton of fun and I learn a lot from doing it that I can use on more “natural” trails, but this kind of deep backcountry ride is what I really love. Except the part where he’s hike-a-biking on a crumbly knife edge.
Anyone notice the non-production(proto) damper Remy is running on his forks? looks like a grip2 layout in grren. Current DVO compression knob has a distinct arrow like lever handle
What's not obvious from the video or the narrative is that to get to Mount Goldie ridge involves significant ride up from the top of the mile one quad. multiple kilometers of climbing followed by a beautiful ridge ride and then a brutal hike a bike up a shale strewn steep slope to get to the ridge. I know, I hike that ridge and area least once or twice a year. It's a serious feat to get up there folks, unless Remy had a service truck ride up from the Panorama resort people or a helicopter ride.
There's also a spectacular ride up from the Brewer lakes trail up to hopeful ridge and down. At one time it was a route of a local tough as heck bike hike race
Remy, not sure the time to put in a plug for Camelbak Chest Vest is right after Alex dropped his bear spray for the second time!
Also, the people want Friday Fails!
Someone asked that over in the shock knobs poll and Brian Park replied YouTube was giving them some challenges with FF but the PB crew is working on it.
