Race DayHighlights | Ending our block of back-to-back races in North America with a bang, EWS Sugarloaf delivered a true rollercoaster of a race.
With more and more roots and rocks emerging from the churned up natural trails, riders were pushed to their limits and beyond as they battled against the clock with many of the world's best becoming unstuck in the process.
Watch our Highlights Show to catch all the action from Sugarloaf's EWS debut and find out who leads the series as we prepare for the final racing block of the 2022 season.— Enduro World Series |
Jack Moir | What a wild race! Disappointing day for Me with a couple of mechanicals. Loved the tracks here, and really wish I coulda had a good day.... Racing sucks some times! Pumped for Party Boi getting back up there with 11th, and Big Wax turning around his day to finish on the podium. Thanks to the Moi Moi Tv Gang for yelling!! We heard You out derrr . Stay tuned for the Les Gets World Champs video's! Maddog Boris on the thumbnail pic.— Jack Moir |
Pro StageHighlights | Catch up with all the Pro-Stage excitement as the EWS round six kicked off in spectacularly-slick style on the slopes of Sugarloaf Mountain in the USA. The muddy roots and rocks of the 1.4km-long Rocklobster proved a fearsome test for the world’s best after mid-week rain saw more and more roots, ruts and holes appearing in the fresh-cut loamy track— Enduro World Series |
Jack Moir | Pro stage was gnarly! Thought it was going to dry out, but it stayed super slick all the way through to racing. Kooked the top of the track in racing, but made some time up down the bottom. Hopefully tomorrow will be a bit smoother sailing... The tracks are going to be just as gnarly though, so it's going to be a wild day out! Shout out Wax with the W and Party Boi back into the top 10!! PracticeHighlights | After two solid days of rain, the stages of EWS Sugarloaf felt like a very different place come Friday morning. But the heat was back, and they were drying fast. Many of the EWS pro’s emerged tentatively from their team pits with bikes shod in mud spikes and goggles festooned with tear offs ready to do battle with a set of challenging conditions in practice. With traction constantly evolving and grip being at a premium some were enjoying it more than others!
The stages here at EWS Sugarloaf flit between tight, tree-lined tech and wide open, piste section hooning - nailing the perfect practice speed was never going to be easy! As ever, the pro’s would only get one run of each stage before having to race it.
Don’t forget that you can watch the fastest runs from the EWS Sugarloaf Pro Stage right here, tomorrow evening before we go racing on the full course on Sunday. If today is anything to go by then it promises to be a good one!— Enduro World Series |
Jack Moir | Got out to ride the stages and they were sick! Hasn't dried up too much so there were some super tricky conditions, but we love dat shieett. Pro Stage racing tomoz!!— Jack Moir |

Course PreviewCourse Preview | We're back for another weekend of world-class enduro racing in the United States of America! After an amazing round in Burke, Vermont, the EWS circus made the short journey north to Sugarloaf Mountain in the state of Maine.
Another first-time venue, the trails here have been expertly crafted by the skilled hands of local legend and Olympian, Adam Craig. The terrain is rocky and raw, with pockets of perfect loam and no lack of elevation to play with. We sent Ric and Ruaridh to check out the stages for your enjoyment.— Enduro World Series |
ShakedownHighlights | Three back-to-back weeks of Enduro World Series racing are approaching an end but there's plenty of drama left at EWS Sugarloaf.
Another brand-new venue for the series sees us round off a historic East Coast double at the Carrabassett Valley Trails. Sugarloaf Mountain opened its doors to the EWS racers today at shakedown. With extremely wet weather over the last couple of days the forecast is now good for the rest of the weekend and racing is all set to get underway!— Enduro World Series |
Jack Moir | Lots of rain over the last couple days made for a wild shake down! Threw the mud tires on and went for some slip n slidin! So keen for practice tomorrow, it's going to be wild out there! Give Mr Bomba some love, He went down again.— Jack Moir |
Being charitable I'm wondering if in order to turn it around so quickly they've not had time to go through all the audio levels from the various filmers and get them roughly equalised or balanced to be consistent through the video, so just muted them instead?
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It's just odd that they clearly have people capable of editing well, but the output is so inconsistent. As far as I'm aware they have a somewhat regular video team so you'd have thought they would have developed a set style and feel for them by now, but every video throughout the season feels different.
I will say the highlights packages are way better now, but we'll see what gets put up this week I guess.
