by Michelin Tires

As a global mobility company founded in 1889, Michelin has a long history of launching major bicycle tire innovations including the tube in 1891, the foldable tire in 1976, the bi-compound tire with silica in 1995 and the tubeless tire in 2000.

Michelin bicycle tires are engineered to deliver excellent performance and durability to provide riders with confidence to tackle their next adventure. Michelin invests in research and testing to ensure that riders enjoy more grip, protection and mileage.

This video highlights the unforgettable journey that Michelin tires provide from the perspective of our riders Cam Zink, Sam Hill, Yannick Granieri, Louis Reboul, PEF, William Robert and Victor Koretzky.

 What a cool video!

I'm sick of waiting for Michelin. No DH22 - No Sale. Pirelli will have their tires out before Bibendum gets off his ass. Cam Zink has had marketing teasers since 2016 for Michelin.

@endlessblockades: 2.5 Rock'R2? How effing long do we have to wait for this tire? I gave up and got Minions instead. As much as I love the RockR2, 2.35 is just too small for a front tire.
Sorry Michelin, put up or shut up.

Chain Reaction Cycles - click on "email me when in stock". Did that a month ago, they emailed me about a week later.

@islandforlife: it said they would email you when they have stock, you got an email, yet no stock. What am I missing?

@Boardlife69: It comes and goes... seems like when they get some stock in, it sells out pretty quickly which is why the email system actually works quite well. Sign up, then when they send you the email, buy it = you're done.

Is it Sam Hill?? Naaaahhh doesn’t look like him at all. Just the sam equipment!
  • 5 1
I wondered the same thing. That rider rides stiffer in the head and shoulders than Sam does. I replayed the video a few times. Nothing personally identifying that it is Sam. Maybe the eyebrows through the goggles at the very end. Maybe. Otherwise, the video is super mum about showing his face or even his arm tats. Or maybe I'm totally wrong here and it is Sam. I don't think it is.

If you look at the eyes at 2:17 it's definitely Sam Hill...also those couple of composed, high gear pedal strokes a second later as his trademark too
  • 1 0
@medievalbiking: The way he effortlessly flicks the bike between the two corners at 2:07, without changing his body position. No one else can do that.

Nice, reminds me of Girl's Yeah Right..... www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zsBNCABRzU

"...the fordable tire in 1976" ?? --- "Synonyms: shallow. lacking physical depth; having little spatial extension downward or inward from an outer surface or backward or outward from a center."

Did you mean "Foldable"?

Cool video

Maybe they're just big fans of Aldous Huxley?

It is efficient tires for sure!! Made in France not so far from home... Here people says that it is made by goblins and wizards.. Ok ok its probably almost the same that the orthers brands but they have a nice team!

My Rock'r2 says "MADE IN THAILAND" on the sidewall...
  • 1 2
@FlorentLG what a joke, Michelin gave the finger to Wolber workers when they ceased to operate the last factory of the Michelin group producing bicycle tires in France.

For over a decade Michelin tires have 'MADE IN THAILAND' on their sidewall. Since then their tires dry rot like nothing else, even the tires on my truck.

Back when they were made in France the legendary DH 16, 24 and 32 were the best. Now it depends ...

@Euskafreez: i keep my bikes on my balcony so tires get exposed to all kind of weather. the only tires that ever showed cracks in less than 6 months were hans dampf trailstar and ethirteen trs race. never noticed anything similar to a whole bunch of various michelin tires. also worth notice their reinforced casing has protection all around not just sidewall.

@kanasasa: Yea i keep seeing this and it baffles me. I have nothing but Michelin on my bikes and vehicles. They have been the best tires a man can ask for. I even swapped out the Maxxis on my Bronson for Michelin and havent noticed anything besides less punctures.

the wild enduro tyres rock....CR seems to be best place for them. cool vid btw too

so you're telling me you went filming with same hill and didn't video one single tight corner or burly rock garden?

good to see the logos arent massive yellow and blue like we see on the EWS. Thats a deal breaker for me bro. I'm more of a black on black on black type guy. *waits for the porn comments*

How boring. Racing is loud, in your face, and all about sponsor livery. Some people like their matte charcoal Nomads, dark brown socks and Enves without stickers, but I like a visual assault. I want yellow checkered flags on my DH22s like Sam.

Sam Effing Hill is a walking billboard

@gonecoastal: damn right. He lets his skin and jersey and results do the talking.
