"What song are we going to use Norbs???"

"No song, Sam Hills going RAW"

His body language is so "calm" , while drifting, as if he rides the easiest trail...
  • 11 1
Yup, no matter what track he's riding, he's in the same body position...

FYI - I am supposed to be in Greece right now on holiday Frown

@RadBartTaylor: I wish I could tell you that the weather is terrible, but it is not. Everybody is terrified with the "new life", but we did it great (if you read the news) and hope to go back to normal life reaaly soon.

@RadBartTaylor: I've watched Sam riding for a few decades now and you've pinpointed IMO why he's an all time great. There are other amazing riders, but nobody makes it look as easy as Sam does. His riding style and body positioning mirror his persona too.

GREAT. And I like that for this movie they/he chose cheaper alu frame. Great that they market also cheaper products from their offer.

I like just watching Sam walk his bike.

How do the bird sounds stay the same in the slow-mo portions? Are they outside the space-time continuum?
  • 9 0
They actually sang faster and a couple of octaves higher in those parts.
  • 2 0
 its part of the simulation.

Birds.... yeah, those birds ain't kookaburras that's for sure..... so yeah!.... Blokes born outa time, drops in from another time space reality dimension.

That was sooo good Big Grin And best soundtrack ever. Going for a ride now Smile

that lyric was running super deep into its travel. apologies for the geek suspension comment
  • 2 1
I've noticed that his fork seems to behave differently than other pros in videos as well, it seems like it's softer and goes through the travel more than other riders

1:43 he bottoms in slow mo just exiting a berm. Probably gives more traction in slow speed stuff. Seems terrifying for chunk but maybe he just jumps over everything lol. I wonder if there's a bike check out there that lists his pressures/tokens.
  • 3 0
HE says in previous interviews that he runs his fork softer and slower than most of the pros. Old school.

I can imagine Sam saying, 'yeh, just been out for a steady ride' Mint video....

can someone tell the birds to pipe down, i'm trying to watch Sam Hill shred!

Now that's a edit, infinitely better than the trail hooligan video from last year.

Really educational to watch Sam's eyes in this video. You can see him looking close while in the air to spot a landing. But then before landing, his eyes move back up to look further down the trail. I need to work on that.

My Mega290 doesn't go that fast. Think it must be broken. Even had the Sam Hill bars on it. It is a few years old though, maybe they made them faster now.

Still blows my mind (even though I know the science behind it) how parts of California and Australia look EXACTLY alike in foliage, and geology. If you didn't tell me this was in AUS I'd swear it'd be in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada's in CA.

And the fact you imported our trees just adds to it, but yes I have to say outstide the city Southern Califronia does feel quite a lot like home Smile

@Dallasdownunder: Oh I'm talking about more than just the eucalyptus. Look up Pioneer Trail in Nevada City and it looks exactly like this.

@Dallasdownunder: I spend a lot of time riding in an imported Eucalyptus forest. It’s really a unique riding environment that I have leaned to love.

Yeah I thought they were silly until I rode in the southwest US, like Arizona, El Paso, that kind of stuff-lots of spiny plants that want to rip your knuckles apart make some handguards appealing.

When I ride on the limits of traction, I'm still going 5x slower than Sam Hill. Whyyy?
