I was always tempted by that line until I read about that local who paralised himself hanging up the back wheel on it (then, I think I'm right in saying, tried to sue Vail as a result)
@pink505’s insightful comment was “hidden” (need to stop oppressing speech).
“Outside of Friday fails I' just haven't gotten into Saturday sends... too many are just folks doing the jumps at bike parks...is it really a send when the jump was purpose built to do the exact thing and you land it on the purpose built landing.... Do a trick, carry the landing to flat, jump off something selfbuilt/sketchy otherwise I only want to see the fails or the saves. The grumpy old man in me always asks does their health insurance adjuster know they do this...”
I get what you’re saying here… but the other side of it is that “real” user generated content from local trails isnt available in significant volume. There are some mixed into Saturday Sends and I do believe that is the core purpose, but to make a full video each week, they gotta throw in the pros, semi-pros, and bike park jumps.
Agreed, I’m less interested in no hands, backflips, and roller coaster-esk bike parks.
The solution would be to pull out those phones on local trail sends…
@barp: The up/down votes can stay. That offers individuals a chance to weigh in without an actual reply. What needs to stop is any form of speech suppression… in this case “hiding” comments.
Every voice should have an equal opportunity to be heard. It’s a fundamental right in our country that the government can’t suppress speech, but it seems many online public forums (which are the modern day town squares) want to limit, suppress, hide, block points of view that challenge the status quo.

Saturday: Actually I just suck.
