Sometimes when I ride one of the trails I've built I find wild boar have actually improved it by loosening up earth while they're rooting around. I've just got to work out how to harness their digging power full time and I'll be set!

I swear elephants use ours...at least it looks that way. I’m not sure there are wild elephants in Derbyshire but it’s surely not inconsiderate riders stomping all over fresh builds!? Nah.. must be the elephants

In Colorado we are constantly battling hunters and their advocacy groups that proclaim trails hurt wildlife and force them to leave the area. When I see constant hoof prints from deer and elk on even the most used trails I can't help but to smile.

Its amazing how quick deer start using the mountain bike trails I've built as their own. Whether this is actually beneficial for the ecosystem with the extreme overpopulation of deer here it VT is up for debate however, so don't forget to go hunting. #makewolvesgreatagain

As a full-time builder it is awesome to see the positive response and stoke this has created. I would like to add a grounding reminder that a proliferation of unsanctioned trails is a great way to blow up your local spot. Most secret trails don't stay secret, GPS ensures that. Heat maps offer a lot more information to land owners and anti- bike advocates than a handful of cars at the bottom of a hill did a decade ago. I would encourage everyone who wants to build to reach out to their local MTB group, chances are they have a decade worth of ideas and need volunteers. On the other hand a call from a land manager to discuss a new rogue trail can strain a delicate relationship.

I got a 3.5 ton excavator waiting for me right now. For the next 10 days, my easter holiday will be spend digging a new trail. The sun is shining, the weather is finally improving. I got some new ideas to test out, and some interesting terrain to utilize. I cant wait to get started, and I cant wait till its done, so I can hear peoples reaction when they ride it for the first time.

I have been building trails in the woods for 12 years or so now , started with nothshore stuff which eventually rotted or destroyed to learning how use what you've got around you with less damaging impact to the forest , occasionally we get some dicks turning up, making a mess , leaving rubbish & abandoned trails get left..!, but we carry on having fun

Personally the most satisfying trail building is when you hardly have to use a shovel because you are using the natural shapes of the terrain so well. Makes the trail ride that much sweeter too when it's raw and natural

me and about 20 other kids made a pretty nice jumpline in Fairfax California (deerpark jumps) and today they are getting steam rolled. RIP. i spent over 50+ hours there and so did a good amount of other kids and now they are just getting steam rolled. big oof

It’s made by trailboss. They make very nice packable tools but I wish they made a full sized McLeod head.

Thanks for that. It appears that they sell a rogue 70HR head for their tools which would solve your lack of a full sized McLeod head dilemma.

They aren't cheap but I'd sure love to have one... all of my local trails are walk/bike access only so getting up there takes some serious effort, and there is basically no way to safely ride with full size tools so I've been doing a lot of hiking!
