Welcome to the Shire. Nestled in the hills of Bellingham, WA. It is the most unassuming place. It’s inhabitants live day in and day out as if each day were a repeat of the last. For its inhabitants do not seek thrills or escape from daily life, as it is not the way the inhabitants of the Shire behave. But today you’ll meet two inhabitants, Ian and Scotty, who are about to go on an adventure, for the likes of which the Shire has yet to see.

_____ yes, I agree. It's great to hear some ______ hiphop! Really gets me _____ stoked to ride my ______ bike, know'm sayin?

I'm conflicted. Was really excited for 'Above the Clouds'... wasn't disappointed with the change to 'Work', but edited version was no bueno. C'mon Transition, we can handle a few bad words.

 @dkidd: ____ that was clever

@Ginepiece @dkidd Totally understand the non-edited version flows more smoothly, but in an effort to make sure all people of all ages can be stoked on this video, we opted for the clean version

@TransitionBikeCompany: since you patented Super Stoke Geometry Philosophy design methodology, would you see any bigger problem with riding a 4X bike for dirt jumping? Numbers are similar... but are theeey?

@WAKIdesigns: you can dirt jump pretty much anything if you just send it. My buddy Joe proves it here.

@TransitionBikeCompany: As someone who watches MTB videos with his 5 and 7 year almost everyday I greatly appreciate this!!

@WAKIdesigns: they won’t respond to your dumbass
  • + 3
@TransitionBikeCompany: I for one appreciate it. Showed it to the wife and kids, we all ride pumptrack/DJ together. (we can pretend we look like these guys while we ride!)

@nyhc00: yeah i totally agree, i did ride some bmx trails with my enduro rig ahahhahahah and worked www.instagram.com/p/BY2AjGiFHU5/?utm_source=ig_web_options_share_sheet "wrong" bike just makes it harder ahahha

@WAKIdesigns: (I'd say) depends how trick based your riding is, since I've not been racing the last few years, I've been riding my Stanton 4X at the jumps but, I'm a stiff old git that doesn't trick. just flow. I do find the front end a bit low but, the Stanton was known for a very low stack head tube.
There's a few Transition banks? on the 4X scene an they ride SWEEEEET

If your definitely going to be spinning tricks then the extra stability of the length in the TT of a 4Xer could make you want a proper tweaky DJ frame

@canuto: that was really impressive!! Looks like you have a good trails scene down there as well.
  • + 2
@canuto: that was super rad! I kept thinking you might case one of them since it sounded like so much work, definitely have to use a lot more effort on the big bike but it CAN be done! Bravo!

TIL you can dirtjump w/o skinny jeans.

Just picked up a 2019 PBJ. Sick bike. Dirt jump has been flying under the radar for the last few years during the whole trail bike and enduro trend, but I think it's a part of MTB we need to keep alive and healthy. So rad.

  • + 5
Nice work, Shire Crew....digging and riding!

Song switch up was done poorly, should have just used full version of above the clouds

one of inspectah decks best verses

Beautiful trails! I'm curious about the hammock / step-up / camelback feature - Was it built with that profile, or is that what it evolved into for optimum nose-bonking?
  • + 1
I've lived just South of Bellingham for two years now; ridden Galby, Chuckanut, and Blanchard a ton; yet, somehow I still have absolutely no idea where these dirt jumps are. Granted, I'd probably destroy my body trying to ride them, so maybe it's best that I steer clear.

Me: Hear Gang Star then instantly clicks to Fav. Then watch supreme roasting on that incredible trail setup and get sad that I can only Fav once :-(
  • + 3
so sick! I can't imagine the amount of dirt you guys had to truck in for that.
