Stuttgart, Germany

Right now, we are experiencing typical winter weather in Germany. It is wet, cold, and uncomfortable. At the moment, there is hardly anyone venturing out on the trails, except for our colleague from Monserat, burning the trails as usual. Jens shows us how to muddy our jersey from top to bottom and at the same time, shows us just how fast you can be on your home trail.

We always enjoy playing with you in the mud boy!

You know the trail is in germany when half of the comment sections are complaints ^^

Nice to see a video from my hometown. But why promote riding in those conditions. On many trails the soil there does not provide for muddy winter rides. The trail shown here is completely destroyed in the upper section since last winter.

yes, bummers dont ride it wet! Stupid

I guess there are a few more issues for the actual situation of this (and other) trail(s) around here. Yes, riding in wet conditions isn't good for the trails. But due to covid there are a lot more riders on the trails then ever before, riding every in every condition.
If every rider takes a little care of the trails we shred by clean, repair or drain the water out of them, then we all could have more fun. Wink
My kids and me are around nearly every weekend and do a little work on a lot of trails. To show the next generation, that there is more thenn just riding.
Sad but true......most of the riders don't even break or say hello while we are on the trail, doing this little things.

I spent some time in Gerlingen a few years ago working at a local company (similar name to our last US Prez). I was only able to bring my road bike at the time but while exploring around I found a geared train in a hilly area near Stuttgart that had a car for bikes. Saw several DH bikes on it one day heading up. Lovely area - I really enjoyed it!

Well I know what Clothing Brand I won't be buying. Great to see a local Company supporting the local riding community in a time where the conflicts over these trails around the city is reaching boiling point. Shows a total lack of respect to the various groups trying to find compromises with the forest and local government and work for legal trails.

If I knew what tyre pressures he was running I’m sure I could ride like that, I’m sure I could, I’m sure....

I live close by, would love to shred these trails :-) Looks like purpose build and legal trails ? any information where these trails are ?

 Irgendwo in Schwabanien....
  • 2 0
Yeah they are so legal they get torn down every few months Wink

Gibt wirklich viele schöne Trails in Stuttgart.

  • 3 1
not every video needs to give up the goods. the trails will find you when you are ready.
  • 1 1

Hit me up and I’ll show you where these are. Just remember the schwalbs are a bunch of crotchety grumpy c*nts

Yea that’s bullshit. Some *ag that was building the trails got fired and posted a bunch of BS about the trails to try to hurt the manager but he’s a no body@mucklark69:

  • 1 0
@mucklark69: it’s been open for years even tho it’s not fully supported. There was loads of money and work put in to it in fall of 2020.

So yeah it’s still good just closed for the winter season.

When he's pushing up the hill at the end you can see a maxxis logo on the front - a Shorty maybe? the rear tread looks like a DHR II.
