 From a mere mortal perspective, Val looks absolutely horrendous.

 I use to train a lot on this track (1h driving from my house) and yes, at the beginning it's quite intimidating, but once you start understanding it, it's an amazing experience. It's a place where "choosing the right line" or "find the best braking point" have a completely different meaning compared to other superfast tracks. It's a proper world cup track. In some ways it's the Streif (Kitzbuhel) of downhill. Not a place for cruising with friends, but an incredible experience for those who love real natural downhill.

Ps. In rain it's absolutely madness

 @flowisforpussies: username checks out! Lol.

Yeah I absolutely agree about real downhill. But I would focus on your phrase ‘proper WC track’. This is a track that challenges the best in the world. I’d love to ride it though, just to find out how much my eyeballs can rattle.

 It would be a fine day of hike-a-biking for me.

 @aeezajutt: erm feck off

 @tobiusmaximum: Exactly. You got the point. When the track (or the weather) is challenging, you can see the difference between the good and the god even without a stopwatch.

Anyway, despite my username Smile I like to ride tracks like Leagang as well (which is probably the opposite of VDS). I just have a soft spot for track like this because they are an endangered species.

 Depending on the day it chews you and spits you repeated times. If it feels like it then it pisses on your corpse.

 Amazing content Tahnee!

Thanks for the insight & the honesty.

It's incredible how fast you pro riders go down this shit. I've been riding since the earth cooled lol, & I've haven't even come close!

Please do this for ALL the WC tracks (training must be getting boring by now...)!

 This really made the superhuman things we see on red bull tv feel human.

 Refreshingly insightful, cheers. After that I'm positive that I'd not survive racing this, usually after a pov vid I'm like hold my beer.

 Keep them coming Tahnee! Always good to see full pov runs. As others have mentioned I like me a bit of technical but parts of that look kinda steep as well. Fair play to anyone who could ride that without stopping to gather their thoughts or bike or shoe.......

 What a track and what a run! I'd kill to give that track a run, although I'd definitely overcook that one drop/steep section in the middle and explode to death.
