Jackson Goldstone is a well-known and welcome guest in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis. Whether shredding in the bike park or racing at the MTB-Festival Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis, the young Canadian always puts the pedal to the metal and knows the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis region as well as the back of his hand. This time Jackson visited the mountain bike region with his family, and they had a little challenge going on. The family-friendly bike park and the surrounding single trails were not only tested for their special characteristics but also how they feature as a background for the perfect photo. Thereby the parents Ron and Miriam Goldstone competing against Bailey and Jackson on the hunt for the #bestbikebanger. Tune in to watch the adventure of the Goldstones in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis and to find out who won.

bigquotesMiriam and Bailey were sick of us talking about it all the time and how beautiful it is there, so they had to come! And because we were in Austria for some races we were able to go over and show them Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis. We hadn’t been there in June before and it was so different, a lot more flowers blooming and some more snow, but we were able to sill ride everything.Ron Goldstone

bigquotesIt was my first time here, and I loved it. We rode in the bike park a bit, which was fun, but I really liked the single trails outside of the park and up on the mountains.Miriam Goldstone

bigquotesJackson likes jumps and going fast. Bailey likes it more technical and Miriam and I like cruising around, so we can do it all here. Not everyone is riding the same trail together every run, but we can meet up halfway and switch, or not. There’s lot of variety and that makes riding in Serfaus so special.Ron Goldstone

bigquotesThe Downhill Trail is really fun, not only to race, but to ride. Aside the bikepark Supernatural 2.0 and Frommestrail are really awesome. And the jump trails of course. There’s just so much.Jackson Goldstone

bigquotesI think if you see a shot that makes you want to do what the person is doing, then that’s the best banger. It could be riding in a beautiful location, like Frommestrail, or hitting a sweet berm or jump.Ron Goldstone

photo

bigquotesFor sure we try and do things that push each other, but we’re not really competing. Jackson is really good at some things and I’m good at others, so we just try and go and have fun.Bailey Goldstone

bigquotesIt was really fun to try and be creative with what’s around you. It was also fun having a bit of a competition to try and get family bragging rights.Ron Goldstone

 Hey what’s all negativity ?
That was a great vid, a tight family all out riding together in an awesome place.
I enjoyed it.

 Hey, wait a second. Did I just watch an ad. Damn it PB, you got me again!

 So if both my boys get a sick sponsorship, or just one of them, then my wife and I also get all the gear?

 Doubt so, more likely the Goldstone family simply have deep pockets...

 FYI Bailey races World Cup DH, Miriam races Nationals BMX, and Ron...well he's a nice guy Wink

 if your son, brother, or close family is a full factory supported rider, you usually have wholesale pricing on the sponsor's gear so the parents are most likely getting discounted "pro form" gear

 @JamesGTi: They live in Whistler, and their kids have mainly ridden bikes their entire lives. Yes. Exactly this. I rode up to Cypress the other day and saw five decked-out Tacomas shuttling kids to the road closure. All extremely extremely rich. The future of mountain biking is rich kids from BC.

 @slimjimihendrix: You speak with great authority about the Goldstones for someone who's wrong, haha. They live in Squamish and have forever. Miriam works for a tech business and Ron works for BC Parks. Their family loves biking and they work extremely hard to give their kids every opportunity to succeed. (They are rich in the same sense that everyone that gets to live and play in Squamish is rich - so you're right to that extent!)

 @tj7mesh: At this point, anyone who is a homeowner in Squamish, and has money left over for children & recreational equipment, is wealthy.

 @DGWW: yep, I agree

 @peytodog: good answer

 @slimjimihendrix: the future of mtb is good riders, also Jackson probably makes a very large amount of money on his own so his parents only have to pay for themselves, he probably gets free trips to these places because he's an incredible rider, and his sister races wc dh so she has some sponsors too...

 So in fact, Jackson Glodstone is some sort of advertisment board ? The aim of his life is to make bangers on instagram ? Not sure I get the point of that video

 Kinda sucks for pro MTBers they have to spend as much time on stupid social media as they do riding their bikes.
  • 11 2
 Unfortunately, social media and advertising is why most of the "pros" are able to ride bikes for a living. There's just no way around it when the prize money for racing is virtually non-existent.

 The negative comments on here are just jealousy plain and simple. If any of our families were offered the same opportunity to do a film like this we would jump at it. Lets not pretend otherwise.

 Seriously? SFL in its own advert suggests that it is ok to LIE DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TRAIL to take a pic? (2:01) Perhaps now that' s ok, as the park is still closed...

 maybe someone should tell the cows that
  • 1 0
 @peebeejay: When you bomb down the trail, it's a little bit easier to spot a cow than a human lying at the trail.
Also, I have a little bit more expectations towards humans than animals.
Signs: “don’t be a cow - don’t block the trail” is not a bad idea in SFL Wink

 Jackson is one of the most humble, down-to-earth riders I've met. Bravo to his parents for raising such a great kid, and bravo to him for not letting his success go to his head. No doubt he works extremely hard. I wish him all the success in the world.

 Lets be clear, this is a paid ad for this ski resort. Nothing particularly wrong about it, if you keep in mind what it is. The subjects may not be rich, but this ad is aimed at families who are.

 I wish I had a full professional media team with drones filming me as I'm filming myself for my banger shots.

 Since when did every MTB fan/rider start getting concerned about other people's financial well-being?

 since the "dentist" comments ?
