Pro mountain biker, pro skier and pro fun haver, KC Deane is no stranger to the endless fun that Whister provides; no matter what season it is. The only problem is sharing it with thousands of other mountain bikers during Joyride isn't exactly fun.
Inspired by hours of thumb workouts on Instagram, KC decides to take his talents to the most famous big wave in the world, Jaws. He quickly discovers that his swell chasing skills are a little off. Luckily, there are a few trails on the Valley Isle to salvage his extreme seeking vacation.

I love being sexist to men. Not a single social justice warrior cares.
Either way - super sick vid - but where's Albee's road gap from his insta post a few weeks ago??
I've been to Maui several times (windsurfing) and have found some short trails in Makawao forest but be nice to know where this is. Cheers
rkstar posted about Poli Poli - I played disc golf on there and the terrain there looks similar to what's in the vid too - there's details on trails there in the link above. I rode around the xterra race course up near Napili and got up to some cool valley spines, but otherwise it was a lot of riding through old pineapple fields - nothing like in the vid. Jaws is over near Haiku.
I managed to rent a sort of ok bike and went to a bike shop [that I'm pretty sure must've been Krank] and asked about info/maps and it was like I was asking for launch codes, I eventually got some vague hints about where to head for but nothing near an actual trail map.
I still call Peahi/Jaws, Domes.
Another classic "where are those sick trails on Maui" video of a long history of mtb media that portrays Maui as a place with all these sick trails that are actually just some creative professional photo/video work. Man did we freak out when the Collective came out exposing what was then a very illegal Makawao forest.
Glad to see you out there and on now on the internet too! Aloha

The mountains are incredibly steep but there is some limited riding and bike rentals. Hiking and seeing amazing vistas is another option. And sitting on these beaches is a gift. Really small place but lots to explore! Fantastic surf in the winter too
