Video: Rocky Mountain Race Face Enduro Team Gets Sendy in Squamish Ahead of the 2021 Season

Feb 17, 2021
by Rocky Mountain

We’re proud to continue racing in the Enduro World Series with our partner, Race Face Performance Products, and our three dedicated athletes, Jesse Melamed, Rémi Gauvin, and Andréane Lanthier Nadeau. We’ve built a dedicated program over the years with our long-term partners and athletes, by staying committed to the enduro discipline.

The riders’ ability to perform on and off the racetrack and engage with mountain bikers around the world has made for an unforgettable chapter in racing. 2020 was a challenging year, however we landed on the top step of the podium for two out of three races - and we’re excited to keep up that momentum in 2021.

Jesse Melamed

bigquotesThe Rocky Mountain enduro program has been one of the most consistently high-performing teams throughout the first 8 years of the EWS. Thanks to the best supporting sponsors and structure you could ask for, the team has achieved podium results in every year of its existence. Rocky Mountain has stuck with me through the lows to get me back to the highs and onto the top step of the podium. I am proud to have been a part of this legacy since the beginning and stoked for the coming season!"Jesse Melamed

bigquotesI am really happy to sign with the Rocky Mountain Race Face Enduro Team for another year. 2021 marks my 7th year with Rocky Mountain and 4th year as a member of our current team structure. Working with Rocky Mountain and Race Face, two brands from my own backyard, has been an amazing experience over the past few years. We have one of the strongest team on the circuit, fast bikes, and work with some of the best partners in the industry. I’m excited to get to Europe to show the world what myself and our team is capable of in 2021!"Rémi Gauvin

bigquotesStaying at the sharp end of the field requires a strong program and we’ve built that the past few years with our sponsors, staff, and my teammates. We’ve not only learned how to be with each other, but also how to work together. That’s what makes our team solid and allows us to perform our best. I’m preparing to be ready to rise up to the challenge of staying on top.Andréane Lanthier Nadeau

Sack off the Privateer and just make a mini series of these guys during next season!
  • 9 0
I like the Cathro series though! And we have our Jank Files series with TommyCInsta!
  • 7 0
@JesseMelamed: Agreed. Cathro made The Privateer a success during a season in which he broke his neck! He literally broke his neck and still made a banger series.

 Was a damn good flick.

I would love to know if ALN long strokes her Fox 36 to 170. Fox frequently claims limited travel ranges that can be exceeded on the high or low end with the right spring shaft from another product.

Also, great video

EDIT: Yup, the part is available
  • 2 0
Asked ALN the same question when the team promoted the New Altitude last year and yes - her 36 has 170mm travel. Did the same with my 36 Ltd. Edition Root Beer.
  • 6 0
Damn.....looked like ALN nearly flat landed the 'Too Smooth' feature on H2H. And Matt B's huck is waaay bigger than it looks on the video. Respect!

Rocky is always doing it right. Not surprised this group of rad people has had so much success. Find good people and stay loyal to them, not a super challenging concept but it seems often screwed up.

 Aln's air...nice one!

The people’s team!! Stoked for the season!

I do drink coffee, I think it's interesting that the chill music actually accentuates the technical riding on display, Remi thanks for asking about the coffee

I'm just here for the espresso shred.

You know Remdog pulls those dank ristretto shots - same way he slices up those effortless lines!! Beautifully shot video - those trails look amazing right now !!!!!
  • 1 0
ugh. a couple more days and the temperature here in alberta will be above 0. I can't wait to ride. i dont even care if its in snow,... i'm going.
  • 2 0
It's always worth it once you get out!
  • 2 0
Man, where do they find places to practice with crappy trails like that all around them?
  • 2 0
Ahead of the entirely European World Series this is a question we are asking ourselves...
  • 1 0
@JesseMelamed: Yeah, having some of the raddest trails in the world in your back yard doesn't help when they're not like the trails on the other side of the world where all the races are occurring. Let's hope you guys will be shredding Whistler again (officially) next year! I just hope to get to come explore your back yard again someday.
Good luck in Europe this summer!

That transfer gap near the start of Jesse's part was sick! What trail is that?
  • 3 0
Just a bit of a creek gap! It's on Dirty Jane.
  • 3 0
@JesseMelamed: "bit" of a creek gap. Jesse, your riding is bananas. It seems like the video is played at 1.5 speed of other riders.
  • 3 0
When is your ski edit dropping Jesse?
  • 3 0
The best crew. Love the video, good vibes!
