We were rotating out like penguins, too. It was cold up there!

I really like the "Transvision" sticker on the bar @TransitionBikeCompany You clever sons of biscuits. Looks like such a good time. I'm itching to check out the Transcascadia excursions this next summer too.

They are a blast. I did three single-day rides this year. Hoping enough people sign up next year to make a multi-day event happen.

Half of the event is on moto trails, but the other half is on nearly untouched trails near the Green River Horse Camp, they are incredible!

@jlfskibikesail: suit yourself, more fresh turns for me Wink

wait what? I rode the giff 10 different days this year. Only once was it "dusty". The moto ruts are hilariously fun. So many natural dbus and triples. I really love huge days in the middle of nowhere riding fast as i possibly can in the woods with my bros. The trail doesn't limit my speed, the size of my nuggets controls the speed. For a 20+ min DH runs. To each there own. They are huge days and if you're not prepared for it it can be a real slog.

Everyone has their own version of what great trails are, and for us, and the people who choose to go to Trans-Cascadia, they are a wicked good time.

@jlfskibikesail: you did it wrong then. You should've done it in questionable weather, sloppy conditions, and with ~150 of the raddest folks you'll ever meet.

@jlfskibikesail Good to know. Sounds like it's not worth the drive. Think I'll stick to Post Canyon and Galby :-)

Ezra Furman, Songs called take off your sunglasses. Been a favorite since I first heard it back in 2009

The san juans of colorado could host a similar event. So many good backcountry moto and wild singletrack trails from Rico to Creede, Durango to Ouray.

  • 1 0

Has anyone with a hardtail been there?
  • 2 0
Very much worthy of a hardtail. I've put in many many hours on a hardtail on those trails.
  • 2 0
 Damn! Soooo good.
  • 2 0
 Lots of Bham rippers!
  • 2 0
 That method man though!

All those riders in an enduro race and I didn't see anyone in a hipster pack. What gives? Must not be real enduro riders.

You must've missed the "Backcountry" aspect, and the snow. Hard to be safe in changing weather conditions, several miles from anything with a hip pack. That being said, a few hard core guys did, and the winner didn't carry any pack...enough clothing to not freeze while pedaling like a madman all day, without ever stripping/adding a layer that I ever saw.
