That chicane rock section was nuts!

Looked like a good spot to roast a rear mech

What an innocent looking bike-wrecker! Seems like it's fine if you commit to either the straight-line huck or the zig-zag, but try to be subtle with a scrub and you'll fall into a trap.

And how 'bout that surgically precise huck at 3:19? Better solution at 3:51: rocks can't hurt you if you're not on the ground!

One thing that makes enduro interesting is the need to manage one's efforts and risks. Even low-ranked riders have moments of brilliance that outdo the top riders and top riders have plenty of safe and boring moments.

I could've watched riders going down that section all day

@R-M-R: no doubt. if this were DH, each rider would have each section memorized, but knowing that most of these riders probably don't and are gassed as well, makes a section like that a real dilemma to ride well. it looked like there was maybe 1 perfect line and speed in that puzzle, and few riders got it.

@jamesbrant: True, but even if a rider had a course memorized in enduro, no one could sustain WC DH intensity for the whole event, nor could they get away with that kind of risk for 30+ minutes of timed sections. Enduro trades a bit of intensity for strategic pacing.

I think just popping over it straight was the line. F*ck getting kicked inside onto that ledge.

it doesnt look that difficult. but the fact that almost ALL of these world class riders had trouble with it, i probably wouldnt destroyed my rim and deraileur and crashed as well.

@R-M-R: yeah i was stoked on that line too. pinpoint precision on that bunnyhop landing.

the dick swinging contest between dh and enduro is so yesterday. i appreciate the fact that enduro is less mainstream and accessible for the general public, for me its real mtb. I enjoy live broadcasts but i care more about the enduro results. some seriously well rounded riders

This is just so interesting to watch. But why Pinkbike, is it cut down to just 4 minutes? Such a waste, if someones there filming you might as well give us more.

Curious why Adrien wasn’t on the zeb?

Can't be certain without hearing it from him, but he's light and was mentored by Vouilloz, who's always been a proponent of minimalism: light gear, narrow tires, less travel, etc.

 Stiff isn't always better.

Sounds like he knows what’s up.

Looks like he practiced one day on each on lyrik and zeb. Must have decided lyrik worked best for him on these trails.

It's also a bit lighter which doesn't hurt when you have to climb 2000 meters
