The fastest men to conquer the notorious endless steps on Monserrate above Bogota, Colombia are 1. Camilo Sanchez 2. Juan Velez 3. Marcelo Gutierrez— Red Bull
I watched most of this race, track seems like it'd be a nightmare to ride, yet still pretty boring to watch. Bummer the rain made the last run into an anticlimax.
Had it on in the background for a while yesterday, and I agree.
Most mountain biking I watch, I think, "if I was skilled enough, I'd love to be able to ride that." Even some rampage lines. I mean, I know I never will, but I'd still like to if I had the skill.
Holy arm pump...so much to unpack here. This is not new but I've paid not attention to these before so 1) that these stairs even exist is insane; 2) that there's a DH run on it at all is nuts; 3) have you ever seen a longer rock garden; 4) wipeouts must be incredible; 5) who installed all those jumps & wooden berms...an entire story there & just on the setup of this and 6) whats the total elevation drop on this?
Could go on but damn, this is true rock crawling / mtb lizard type of stuff...the force going thru the body looks incredible.

I have zero desire to ever ride that track. None.
It looks like pure misery.
