Went LA and didn't mention crawfish?! Heresy!

Having grown up in MS riding bikes outside as much as possible, there's cross-country style riding in the far deep south, but that's really about it. It doesn't compare to the mountains, but that's the reality of riding for A LOT of people. Just getting out into the woods and enjoying the ride is what it's all about.

Agreed! Those trails put a whoopin on us haha the legs were kinda crushed from all the sprinting around to catch more speed but it is addictive like that

@christinachappetta: are you going to visit Bentonville Ar? If you do please ask allied cycle works about their new xc race bike, that had been teased for way to long.

Louisiana looks like a different experience as far as riding bikes!

@mattsavage: true that, as long as it keeps these videos entertaining. take it as a compliment about the chemistry between the two
  • 25 0
@redmountaingoat: To be fair, Tom could have chemistry with a religious scholar(as opposed to a science teacher).

@cgreaseman: he definitely seems to get along with anyone.

She did take him home to meet the parents so…

@Garradmiller: and it sounds like they convinced @Brianpark to pay for it

Probably need to keep on the downlow, or Robin might take issue.

hahaha and NO! Tom's lady Tessa is a saint for putting up with him and my guy Sam is about as quiet and English as they come but we've been good mates for a loooong time now! Apparently you can tell

@redmountaingoat: the minute anyone is born, they have (undiscovered) chemistry with Tom and that is a scientific fact.

Awesome to see NORBA's hard work come to life in this video! For anyone curious, this trail system also has multiple jump lines, a dual slalom course, and new enduro trails. More features are also currently in development. Thanks Christina and Tom for checking us out!

We were pumped to make it there! Tom (and I) had no idea what to expect so we were delightfully surprised

I was hoping for an impossible to understand Creole intro from Christina.

 haaaa I have those too!

OK I admit it maybe a 170mm enduro rig is not the perfect bike for Louisiana. But this is the only time you will convince me that it is not the perfect type of bike.

These trails are awesome and 95% of them are perfect on my 120mm bike which is all I have because I either A. Am just scared to send it. B. Have a career that is not sustainable with crash injuries. C. All of the above. Either way, these trails would be fun anywhere but based on the slim pickings in the coastal southeast they’re even better.

I wishI would have know this was being filmed. I was at the same Easter parade with these two as we live right across the river in Algiers Point. Should have finished that trip out with a Sazerac or beers at Urban South.

100 million or so and there's no reason it can't become the mountain bike capital of the world

Awww Algiers! Still the best spot for a po-boy I've ever been to. That's an old-school daddy/daughter date spot for sure. We lucked out big time with those parades hahah

 Suns Out!

Just proves that you DON'T need a heckuvalot of elevation to place some fun trails for mtb'ing. Tom clearly couldn't handle the boiled peanuts (and don't even mention the fried peanuts!)

Jeez, Christina... you are friggen jacked! Not only a badass on a bike, but you look like you could go a few rounds in the ring! #Goals

My dad was a boxer haha he taught me a thing or 2.

I actually rode there last year! It was very washed out from all the rain after the hurricane but definite potential. Also found some trails in Mississippi just outside Jackson.

There's a spot my mom told me about up there, need to check it out next visit home.

@christinachappetta: Oxford, MS has it all!

Funny how they need to add rocks to the trail. Come to New England where we need to add dirt to the rocks.

Damn, Christina is brave. If I told my mom to be quiet on set I'd end up like the dude Mike Tyson smacked up on the airplane.
  • 2 0
hahaha she's a good team player. Loved the drone shots of the farm

Pretty sweet. Didn't know my home state had any decent trail riding. Might have to check it out next time I visit the fam.

I bet the folks down south loved Tommo and his accent and Kimi slang

 I want boiled peanuts now.
  • 2 1
Forgot how much I really don't like boiled peanuts haha

Ya'll made it look fun that's for sure. I prefer to spend my time in the Quarter sweaty, eating shrimp 'n grits, a bit buzzed & sipping Chicory coffee during my annual trip, but that's just me.

all good activities! Would recommend getting one of those e-cruisers to see even more of the city next trip!
  • 2 0
@christinachappetta: When I visited I helped fix up a bunch of cruisers for a local bicycle library in exchange for the use of two of them for the week. What a great city to see by bike!

This place is like somebody's memory of a town, and the memory is fading. It's like there was never anything here but jungle.
