Everyone is commenting on the video. Intro to long, bla bla. I want to point out that I love that YT supports a 12 year old girl. She is a sick shredder and i think that is what mtb needs for the future. YT is the right place for her. They are not pushing her into sth. she doesn´t like just helping her out. That´s the right way for young talents.
I´m not hating on personal video preferences. I just want to see the positive side.
I was just starting to buy the rigorous training regimen... :-)
I, for one, enjoyed it. Very unique idea. And girl has a super smooth, flowing style. Really has her corners dialed. Amazing. And I don't mean 'for a girl', either. Just super impressive.
I didn't get it, how can she become a mountain bike star, without even riding a mountain bike? I used to run into snow and do pull-ups at barn, but those were not helpful for me.
The fact she was running up mountains in the snow was great, it's not like the intro was 3 minutes of pure artsiness. I think that the people complaining about it are just upset that they might get owned by this young lady. It's great that YT is supporting this girl, hopefully she stands as inspiration to other girls her age in such a male dominated scene.
I just thought the intro was awesome! The movie references (Kill Bill vol. 2 with Master Pai Mei, the Rocky IV montage and then the LOTR mountain pass segment) we're pretty freakin' funny!
And to top it off, she can actually ride. No complaining here.
OK I'll be that guy... I watch MTB edits to watch MTBing so overall I didn't like this edit. I wanted to watch her shred and found it weird that the intro took up over 3/4ths of the edit. Other people who point this out aren't hating on her or have some weird jealously about how good she will be, they're stating their opinion about the edit and shouldn't be considered as anything beyond that. Who cares? Some like it, some don't, just like everything else in the world.
Its sick to see this because I've been waiting for a Kelly Sildaru type in MTBing. I hope they do more videos as she progresses because there's nothing cooler than literally watching someone grow up through their riding. Shred on, young lady!
Sweet vid.
I just FF the intro, no biggie. Didnt want to be seen watching a 12yo girl working out on my computer in the dark.
Better song woulda been a Smoosh or First Aid Kit song.
Great riding, keep shredding.
Gotta love how Pinkbike gets all in a huff if a video has any of the following: 1) Too long of an intro. Anything over 2-5 seconds seems to be too long based on the comments. 2) Any slow-mo. Again seems like any slow-mo is too much slow-mo in a pinkbike commenters mind 3) Any music other than death metal. Also if there is dubstep or electronic music the comment section will be riddled with people wishing it had death metal/classic rock instead of said electronic music.
God forbid that anyone do anything creative or different. That being said the intro was way too long.
tbh i enjoyed that video and i totally agree with @upside
Ad. 1) Intro was long, but, to me it was rather entertaining.. tbh, how often do we watch something like this? it wont hurt once in a while..at least it didn't hurt me..
Ad 2) I barely noticed any slow-mo there.. the one i did notice was at the end, when she slides while braking..i love watchining bike parts dancing on slow-mo
Ad 3) Music You all have to admit it: AT LEAST IT WASN'T SAIL!
I absolutely loved it! I may be deluded but I freaking told everybody that Germans DO have a sense of humor and Monthy Python as well as Beavis and Butthead are not comedy, these are last resort acts of desperation!
I Iove Monthy Python, I just mean that certain countries having issues with German sense of humor are in deeper sht themselves... Oh I stepped into Monsieurs bucket...
This is the dream -- to get kids on bikes and stoked about being on 'em, without any of the bullshit 'accessory' nonsense. It's so amazing to see this video of straight fun and awesomeness, without any innuendos or 'I'm a girl' crap, up on the main page and right where it belongs. Hell yeah, kiddo. You're straight up rad.
PS: You wanna see equality? This is it -- not expecting anything for being a chick, not asking for anything, just out shredding and getting noticed for doing it well and putting a great video together.
This is awesome! I wish I would have been introduced to mountain bikes as early as her! 10 years younger and 10x faster than me. Nice to see more women and young ladies tearin it up in the sport!
Impressed with how fast she is in corners, I'd be hard pressed to keep pace.
Also sweet how she lets here rear wheel drift into the edge of the corner all sideways like.
I'll be keeping an eye for for this speed demon on the dockets of enduros to come.
I was perplexed that I had to scan this far down to find someone who realized she was re-creating the Rocky training scenes from Rocky IV, instead of whining how long the intro was. How is that possible? I was cracking up, and thought she killed it! A good sense of humor and a ripper, looks like she's got the goods she was asking the Sensai for!
Mountain biking inspires creativity. Great concept, Even Rocky had a montage. Maybe the riding started at ... whatever time. But the time and effort put into getting all of those shots and get to those amazing locations were more than worthy of screen time. Remember the last time you and friend went out and had Fun. If anything this should inspire you and a friend to get out there and shoot some silly footage just for shits'n'giggles. Then re-watch it ten years later and do it all over again, and again. Thank you for sharing this edit.
She is totally awesome! I would hate to be a boy at her school - talk about being shown up by a girl! Also, good to see YT taking the initiative an sponsoring a future star like this.
LOVED IT! goofy, and the girl shreds(for a 12 yr old). intro is too long blah blah blah...she must have put this together to get a sponsor. oh, she already has a sponsor? YT must be really happy.
Great video! It was funny and she rocks! That intro was totally fun. I bet it took for ever to get a those shots. Just getting to the top of that mountain took all day. Wish we had those mountans around here.
Video of the Year!!! Love this edit. This young gun absolutely rips! Very fun edit. Setting the bar high, no footers at 12 years old! Poor poor local boys, they're gonna have to quit mtbking!
I felt so embarrassed while watching the intro, I started to search for spots to hide myselve in the livingroom! Anyway, great riding by that young gun!
She's insanely confident on a bike, for any rider, let alone for a girl, or a 12 year old.
If her and Goldstone had a kid someday, it'd be a super-saiyan.

Props for building up the next gen of ladies.

She's 12 and She rocks!
@MordFan totally agree with you. Thank god it wasn't SAIL!!
@Aidanclark Couldn't agree with you more

Not as if I bothered too much, but you know, the last guy who said "we are one" and wanted to join Germany and Austria in one Reich...
Female shredding
Creative yet unpretentious
Good clean fun
= YT Respect
not that i watched the whole intro, but i dont think there was anything important you missed
