Riding with headphones all the time I don't hear the crazy soundtrack like that. Even without the headphones it would be more wind than bike sounds. Anyway I wish my bike sounded like that. There is not chain noise I can distinguish, only heavy tires at work.

Why does no-one there wear elbow pads? I mean we can see they do fall and judging by their bikes can obviously afford them.

I wonder the same thing. I hit my elbow and my knees almost every time I do crash and you can see in every freeride video on the planet people riding with knee pads and not wearing an elbow pads. Even on the DH circuit there are people not wearing elbow pads.

After riding downhill for the last 5 years and living in whistler for the last year and a half I can safely say I have never had skin off my elbows. Shoulders, hands, even wrists yes, but never elbows. Maybe it's the way people fall differently.

I still have scars on my elbows from a DH race in May, however I still can't stand wearing elbow pads.

I always wear elbow pads, even on mellow trails where I probably dont need em just to keep it habit. Never actually been saved by them, but I keep wearing them as my personal insurance policy. Ya never know when you're gonna fall directly on that one rock.

Been riding elbowless and gloveless for 3 years now, both DH and XC. Had some small scratches but never anything significant enough to have me reconsider my protection choices. The knees and the small body armor saved me tons of times though.

wasn't wearing pads when i broke my elbow,going through a rock garden a few years ago,think Sam Hill ,full scorpion ,landed directly on my left elbow.since then always wear them,might not protect me in a big bail,but you never know.
