I understand the vids supposed to be in light heart, but this vid captured something awesome about mountain biking for me. Yes the startup investment to get my bike/gear so I could begin riding blew all the cock in the world and a lot of people go into debt for those things, but after that riding is just the simple gas tank to get to your trail of choice, cheap food and friends. Now that I have paid for my bike and gear, mountain biking yields insanely awesome satisfactory rewards for little to no cost at all, and it never gets old. I f*cking love mountain biking, 30 bucks is truly living large on a day of biking. I'll go back to my shitty 9 to 5 now. Sorry

I try telling my wife that every time she bitches about my bikes. She still doesn't get that the money that I spend is mostly on gas money to get to the trail and maybe for some snacks. The initial investment is worth the bitching and moaning and occasional pump stop. Ultimately, though, the old lady never actually yaks about the actual riding part. It's always "see you when you get home," where then she actually has some good food made because she knows I was cranking for 3+ hours. Mountain biking and supportive wives rule.

perhaps she wants you out of the house for 3+ hours. wonder why Smile

I know my Mrs is going to be spitting feathers when my new bike gets delivered. She probably won't speak to me for a fortnight, the chances of 'romance' will be negligible for the next month.... but slowly but surely she'll come round..... and I'll still have my bike. That's all that matters.

It is most definitely a chance for her to have me out of the house so she can go do whatever she likes!

My girlfriend has admitted that she is okay with, and even not jealous of my other lovers: my bikes.

Those were some pretty sick XC trails. Looks like they'd be fun on a mid-travel trail bike.

Why do I get -20 props for picking on him and you get +2?

don't talk to me like you know me
  • 2 2
I wasn't really picking on him. I'm being honest. They look like fairly tame trails. Like they'd be fun on a short or mid travel bike.
