Semenuk: yeah mate, had a terrible crash today. zink: yeah, me too. I crashed off a 20meter high cliff, what happened to you? Semenuk: Slightly blew off my foot after landing a perfect 540 backflip on my slopebike. My Ankle hurts a little bit. Zink: ...
...in the comments for FF or SS someone always asks for a crash to be thrown in with the sends or a send with the fails....this video is basically that request being granted. Not sure I liked it. I kept expecting a crash in each clip but it seemed only 1/10 was actually something I would consider a "crash." A "not perfect" landing is not a crash.
Danny's crash reels are always the best. I would never wish any harm to him (nor any of these other athletes), but I can appreciate the effort, dedication, and especially the fails that go into every one of these sequences. There were a couple of hard crashes here that I had sympathy pain!! You know what I mean...
Here is why Brandon wins-he can do every trick each other contestant submitted but they can’t do what he does. Yes brage(sp?) video felt raw and I loved it but semenuk would do or has done all of the stuff already and Brandon takes everything to the next level with additional style and grace.
Watched this first thing this morning, shows who pushed the limits the most for sure!
If you remove all the non crash footage there isnt much left from some folk.
I really don't like over-edited clips. Even with my attention span, it's just too much going on. And why snip Danny crashing at 1:10? He was on his bike, then suddenly he was off his bike.
So an article is written about pros feeling like they can't get by financially if they get hurt. But then here PB goes on glamorizing "underpaid" professionals getting hurt. Makes perfect sense. Will site traffic and advertising revenue from Friday fails or any posts with content about riders getting hurt go into a fund to help support either rider disability insurance or stipends to those who can't do their job?
@nvranka: I didn't watch the clip, not a fan of race crash footage, friday fails, or whatever else capitalizes on the negative results of competition. I'm on about PB running an article claiming there is a major issue in the industry with athletes having support if or when they fail. They then continue to promote content glamorizing fails. Either you care about it and don't capitalize on it or you don't. So many commenters in the other article we're all up in arms about what riders make and that they can't support themselves if they mess up but are likely here making money for PB, Xgames/ABC, and Google with their clicks. My proposition, put up a paywall to watch Friday fails or other crash footage. The proceeds go into an account that can pay out to these supposed underpaid and hung out to dry athletes when they need help if everybody truly believes what they typed in the other article.
