Stoppies are showy and all that, but perhaps more interesting is the question: for each take, does Bernard have to push his own bike up the slope, or is someone getting paid to do it for him?
@PinkyScar: I rode with him at my local track and I would have pushed his bike up the start hill just to watch him try and quad some of the rhythm section jumps.
@PinkyScar: Bernard was sessioning Crabapple Hits while we were there filming & he was sloggin' his bike up the hill like everyone else. (his riding was another level tho'... ; ) Good guy. I didn't know who he was until I saw this contest. lol
@PinkyScar: If you ever go to Squamish and ride any of the rock rolls you will realize that they are so steep that you would exhaust yourself pushing your bike up them multiple times. It's probably necessary if Bernard wants to ride it back to back.
Check. Reminds me of parents giving positive enforcement, I know my mom when I was a child, I would like jump in the air, and she'd be like, "oh wow good jump!".......and I'd be like, "yeah no sweat".......to this day I'm the best jumper ever
Skills ... he just has got some magic $1000 brakes (with carbon/titanium everything) So please PB, let us know which brakes he is using so we can also do some crazy stoppies.
I just wanted to add, that my previous comment was a JOKE. Apparently it was a poor one judging by the number of negprops Or maybe it's morning in the US?
#FakeNews This wasn't a stoppie at all. You can clearly see him hauling complete arse down a double black feature on his front wheel, no stop was featured.
I believe I have assembled ample evidence to reclassify that trick as a "Berny."
It's really hard to tell how steep it is from video. From some angles it looks like a sidewalk, others it looks straight down. Just like that dude that supposedly rode up the 60-degree slab in Moab. No way to know without seeing it in person
The voting was only two days ago and it hasn't been that dry in Squamish since so that means they already had all three segments filmed. I want to see the other two!
@whitebirdfeathers: Sorry dude, we got the votes in and the winner was clear so we headed out to do this one on wednesday afternoon - good job too! We only filmed this one.
I will be extremely lucky if i could ever handle that kind of speed on flat ground for a stoppie, much less while snagging a quick burger. Props to the steeze master himself!
Thanks Pinkbike & Pivot for highlighting this cool spot. Awesome to have Bernard spreading the stoke here!.. Here's Flow-Ryder ( @flowryder ) shredding the other slabs in the In-N-Out Burger zone - his FAVORITE!!
I met the Pivot Cycles crew on Closing Day (Monday) in Whistler Bike Park. They had just flown in & were filming Bernard session Crabapple Hits that afternoon. They said they only had 3 days in the country. Busy, actions packed trip... nice work boys @aspectmediauk !
Gotta say, I voted In and Out Burger because its the longest but he only eneded up doing the first 1/2 of the feature! I can say from experience the second half is the gnarly bit!

I wish I had someone to push my bike back to the top. But then again, I have to prove my worth by having fitness, skills, guts and probably 30 fewer years. As I have none of these, I'll happily settle for watching someone who does.
In reality he pushed his bike about halfway up the slab, I got down and met him halfway. Plus his bike probably weighs about the same as most trail bikes!
BK, you chose the wrong trail. How am I supposed to win now? Oh well... Best of luck to you that voted for the burger and BK, fantastic job and well done....you're the beast
I don't think I'd even want to ride down that with both wheels on the ground and my sack scraping the rear tire. And he's doing a stoppie down it. Yikes.
Simply mr kerr your just my favorite human being
Haha what kind of world cup racer doing this kind of silly stuff hahahahah. Love him such a fun to watch
Just normal Saints...
