On July 5th, Ski Bromont will host it's 2nd local race held on the bottom part of the World Cup track (
read: Intermediate track). In order to increase the diversity of participants, we're inviting USA riders to come join us by offering you a free race if it's your first time racing the B-Maaxx series. Remember to bring your USAC racing licence. (
In case you don't have any racing licence, you will need to buy an event licence for $10.)
Note that Bromont is only 1 hour from Jay Peak and 1.5 hour from Burlington.
Photos of Round 1The venue: Ski Bromont has been the most popular mountain offering lift-accessed DH trails in the Quebec South area since its opening. This venue has hosted many prestigious events such as the World Championships in 1992 and multiple World Cups (1993-1996-1999-2008-2009). For many years, it has been the venue for Canada and Quebec Cups.

This year, the TWO biggest events in BOTH eastern Canada and east coast US were on the same weekend.
Tremblant Canada cup conflicted with Mountain Creek Pro GRT
Bromont Quebec Champs conflicted with Plattekill Pro GRT
I would guess that both events would have seen at 30% more attendance if schedules were coordinated. The pro class would have also been well over 100+ at each event.
We are going to discuss with the FQSC (Quebec's Cycling Federation). 3 out of 5 rounds of the QC cup + 4 B-Maaxx races are held on the south part of QC, not far from the border. I'm pretty sure most ESC racers would love to try those venues.
Otherwise the area is my favourite area to vacation; almost a regular there during the winter.
