Man I thought a couple g's for carbon wheels was pricey but $5 for a banana? By that standard the wheels don't seem that far out of line.
  • + 20
Right? Honestly, I don't care if you could buy a motorbike for the cost of a top spec AM rig, but needing to break out a note to cover the cost of one piece of fruit really issuing too far.
  • + 13
Obvious industry plot to turn away attention from runaway prices is obvious...

WELCOME TO AMERICA WHERE IT COSTS LESS TO: water a field for a long period to grow sugar cane, cut that sugar cane, process that sugar, bring sugar to plant to be used in production with other ingredients to make soda, add other ingredients, then ADD WATER and make a 2L bottle of water than to buy a 2L bottle of water.
  • + 10
thank god theres no more titanium hammer.............
  • + 7
And that is how you use a banana for scale!
  • + 3
That's why Interfight sux. It is in a gambling mecca made to extract cash and has no water for weary riders. You are lucky to only spend 10 bucks unless you used the washroom and gambled on a one armed bandit.
  • + 7
 He's bananas for buying that!
  • + 5
The Leatt C-Frame knee brace sells for $599 USD
Sucks to need a RoboCop apendage to ride but great for those who need it(me)...
  • + 4
@TFreeman: considering the price at which they "buy" water, hardly a surprise..: www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-08-21/what-drought-nestle-pays-only-524-extract-27000000-gallons-california-drinking-water

 thanks khaki
  • + 4
 So in Vegas Prices...

8 oz Water at the concession stand that banana came from: $5.
12 oz Coors Light in the room fridge: $6.

Beer is actually cheaper than water.
  • + 1
 I got a banana for 5$
  • + 5
 ...and it isn't even ripe!
  • + 18
Uh, you guys need to stop complaining and support you local banana dealer.
  • + 1
No cash discounts and complimentary banana peeling though?
  • + 4
That banana is made in the US, that's why it's overpriced Wink

maybe if everyone stopped buying this shit we could have some cheaper products

 Hell yea! Sick Canfield Balance!!
  • + 10
 Canfield+ DVO = awesome
  • + 3
It looks like they changed the rear end for 2016, could be stiffer and possibly lighter?
  • + 1
Thought that was a Riot at first. The linkage is a bit different from the 2015's in the rear.
  • + 27
So if that RM kids bike has 135mm hub spacing on a 20" wheel, wouldn't that be TOO stiff? Don't they need DeBOOSTed 124mm spacing to correct the spoke angle and introduce the proper amount of compliance? What gives!? I'm not letting my child on that trash!
  • + 2
You sir make me LOL..... Best thing I've read all week.
  • - 8
flag nekmtb (Sep 19, 2015 at 23:37) (Below Threshold)
those are the raddest kids bikes ever!! it has an air fork, hydro brakes and some kind of multi speed auto shifting hub. Put your money where your mouth is and get your kid something better.
  • + 30
They should have said " if you kneed support"
  • + 26
I don't know if its the way the photo is taken but that new fox helmet looks awful
  • + 21
That 9point8 product lineup looked intriguing. 200mm dropper? Finally something for @radek size

Like to know about the Stans Neo hubs pricing if possible

Thanks for giving some coverage of that Halo wheelset and real world pricing
  • + 6
Not just for the giants! I'm a hair over 6' but don't want to know I even have a seat while pointed downhill. I hope these longer travel posts are available soon (preferably in around 170mm)!
  • + 10
I really hope longer travel droppers become more mainstream. I'm only 6' and 150mm is not enough for me.
  • + 9
I'm 6'6" and could totally go for a 175mm dropper. 150 is good. 175 would be better.
  • + 2
Ditto. I'm 6'4" and a 175mm would be just about perfect for me.
  • + 5
200mm please! At 7ft, just my size!
  • + 2
 i'm only 5'8 and i find 150 a little short
  • + 5
In talking to the guys at 9.8, the 170 post is going to be produced and the 200 mm will be if there's enough interest.
  • + 1
But only the internally routed version right?
  • + 17
I stared at that mad max bike for like 20 minutes just observing
  • + 5
Best in show,as far as I'm concerned!
  • + 2
Looks interesting - is it rideable or just show? I figure the BB would be flexing like crazy let alone the frame.
  • + 3
With all that solid steel, you aren't going up hill, I'll tell you that
  • + 14
"Hitcase have released an everyday adventure case, $89.99 and it comes with a selfie stick. Semenuk will be running it as well as Devinci Global Racing team." ...yeah, still not buying one.
  • + 15
It's pretty funny how they say "running", like it's a special modification they apply to their phones on race day...
  • - 3
Well it is mountable just like any POV, but no its not what they meant.
This is just the latest product offered for people who are into taking great pics with their phones, and still mountable like the popular Pro case. There are different camera lens options available from SuperWide (170 degree fish-eye), Wide, Macro and Flat...

Hitcase.com homepage to see what Freeride Ent was able to film using only iPhones and of course Hitcase (for the lens options, water/shock-proofing).
  • + 8
@vvazz0 No worries fella, we're not to worried about it. Happy trails dude!
  • + 1
can I pay more for one without a selfie stick, & help some poor brorider by not letting him have one as well?
  • + 8
That extra long pedal idea makes sense from a stability point of view. More contact with the ball and arch areas of the foot rather than just the arch seems legit.
  • + 7
That extra long pedal makes no sense. I have tried extra long pedals in the past and all they do is force you to put your foot further forward than feels natural. If you put your foot in a "normal" position, you cant apply any pressure to the pins (if your foot is even on them) and get no grip. If you do move your foot forward to get some traction, you end up with the pedal axle half way down the arch of your foot, which is crap for putting power down, as well as feeling weird.

The more I hear about James Wilson, the more I wonder if he has actually ever ridden a bike.
  • + 3
He says some really crazy shit on his website.
  • + 2
Gabriel-mission9 what extra long pedals have you tried? I'd like to see them, can you post a link please? I didn't realize they were actually available on the market yet.
  • + 1
Its hard because your foot is not flat. ideally the pedal would wrap around your foot but then it gets really big and heavy. I think it should have just a bit of concavity and more pins closer to the center.
  • + 0
 @zorba73
Ergon do one. Bloody massive thing. No pins tho. Cant remember the name of the one I tried, it was basically like the ergon one but with pins. Tried the Ergon one too, and that felt similarily weird underfoot. I move my foot around on the pedal alot. On my toes for sprinting, on my arches for braking/rough. The problem arises when on my toes. Too much pedal sticking out the front of my foot.
  • + 5
I rode the Transition Smuggler at a demo fest, and bought one. Best trailbike I've ever ridden. chainstays as short as my 26" bike, feels like cheating. this from a bmx guy, never thought i'd ride 29, but that bike delivers. time to put aside what i thought i knew and just ride. transition rocks
  • + 7
Should've put that $10 on black and doubled up.
  • + 7
Anyone else think that red Ergon rucksack looks like a muppet?
  • + 3
I've been running the MRP bash guard/guide all summer on my 1x11 enduro bike and I can't say enough good things about. I would definitely spend the extra 50$ for the carbon version to keep an xc bike lighter.
  • + 6
7iDP helmet is the same a a 661 comp shifted so it's hardly new.
  • + 1
Yeah, apparently new colors means a new helmet/product. Might not be buying 7ipd products anytime soon. wonder if 661 and 7idp are related somehow..
  • + 1
Yea there are a few brands that use the same shell as the 661 Comp. I wonder who is the original manufacturer is? Good helmets though as I love mine.
  • + 1
Interesting, the trail helmet is also the same as a Fly Freestone.
  • + 6
 Dear Abbey,

Shut up & take my money!

Sincerely yours,
  • + 0
 So dang purdy!
  • + 2
Being a car mechanic myself, I always cringe when I see parktools stuff selling for a premium price. Except for some very specific bike tool only that just doesn't exist from anyone else, look for an alternative. Worst offender for me is the bike stands, made out of some kind of cardboard tubing and the clamp bolt is probably HD styrofoam. Was way more impressed with some Titan tools at princess auto.
  • + 0
I work at a bike shop and we use mostly park tools. They're stuff is pricey but it rocks and has lasted us years. They also sell replacement parts for a lot of their tools as well. So is it expensive at first? Yes. But its worth it in the long run. ( and their stands are really durable as well)
  • + 5
For $5 buck you know what they are saying you can do with that banana.
  • + 5
That chips and banana receipt: holy @&#*! can I be in that business?
  • + 2
5 bucks a banana.. . You got pwned.
  • + 1
I could buy 5 kilos for that price (I mean the banana alone) and still get change...
  • + 1
So the banana cost more than a bag of crisps...
Am guessing water will b emore expensive than any soda then ?
  • + 2
First the skinny jeans and now a selfie stick. If Semenuk wasn't one of the best riders in the world, I'd swear he was a hipster. I wonder if his cooler is full of PBR.
  • + 3
Bring back the pb.com evolution shirt, i need an excuse to rock some pb.com swag
  • + 4
 Jezz. $5 banana.
  • + 11
So what? Do you think that stuff grow on trees? Oh wait...
  • + 2
Technically, they don't grow on trees.
  • + 1
Really? What are they then, really tall bushes?
  • + 1
If my memory serves me correctly they are a herb. Each banana plant produces one massive bunch of bananas and then it dies. They have to be replanted every year, unlike trees (and bushes) that live for many years. Google is your friend.
  • + 1
May look into that leatt knee brace after the complete destruction of my ACL, MCL, and splitting of my meniscus into 2 pieces at whistler last weekend.
  • + 1
Get a real brace... like a custom CTi
  • + 1
Yeah I think that will be the plan after talking with the doc...
  • + 1
Good call. I'm sure the Leatt brace provides a measure of support but I can't see it being nearly as protective or supportive as a CTi. Besides, the effect of these braces is highly dependent on intimate contact with your leg over a large surface area (helps with comfort too) which is hard to get without going custom.
  • + 1
What are those high-cut five tens? New Line King? Or a freerider hi? I need them. My line kings soles are crumbling but they're still my go-to shoes

Have we had information about the knotty 2016 yet ? If i remember well we were supposed to have a pic during the eurobike ...

a strong oedipus rex thing going on there.

Finally a new helmet from fox!! Flux was great, but trail helmets of other brands evolved so much the pst years

I think I should better never bring my debit card at this kind of exhibition, there are so much product i want to buy !

Lame coverage , I really want to look at pictures of cruisers.

pretty exctited for the Apidura fullframe bag!

 Look ma, I ride hook-less.
  • + 1
 McGazza wears elbow pads?
  • + 1
Well Bananas are a delicacy in Vegas...
  • - 2
If I were in the market for bikepacking bags, I'd choose Percelain Rocket, custom sewn by cool kids right in Calgary, made to order. Apidura, nice looking stuff, flashy site, sewn 'near Hong Kong'
  • + 1
$600 for a knee brace woooweee, looks like a robot
  • + 1
I use a $30 hinged brace and Kali kneepads an extra size larger, way less than 599...
  • + 0
suspended wheels and 200mm dropper are BRILLIANT !!
  • + 13
I don't know whether to up vote or down vote you....
  • + 9
I bet suspended wheels would make for really sluggish acceleration and braking.
