 I could never justify buying a Fattie when I live in a relatively snow free country . . . . but winning one . . . . . hell yeah !!!!
  • 19 0
Lack of snow, yeah, but rain and sloppy mud, we have an endless supply all year round!!!
  • 3 0
 Same here!
  • 5 0
We have beaches to ride on, and sand dunes!
  • 2 0
@Caiokv I was talking about the rain and sloppy mud Smile
  • 7 1
I've got plenty of snow but not enough money. Big Grin
  • 2 0
Last year we had a total of 450cm of snow fall. I'd love to win this thing.
  • 2 1
Dank regards won this bike and hes only been a member for 8 days !!!!!!
  • 4 0
I imagine there are a lot of dubious accounts that are set up just for this give away. More accounts, more chances of winning.
  • 34 0
Fat bike? I don't really really need one but, you know, n+1. Big Grin
  • 5 0
Most of the things we own we don't really need. What we need is money in order to acquire the things we want.
  • 18 0
Would most definitely run over children sledging on this bike. Christmas spirit n all that... 0.0

I'd love to have it! Unfortunately a fat bike hater will probably win and someone else will get a good deal on eBay for a damn nice bike without a drivetrain.
  • 7 2
Has anyone really won any of these prizes. Can't seem to find a list of the lucky people........
  • 8 0
 www.pinkbike.com/contest/advent

The winners of each are on the doors of the prizes. Allegedly.....
In all seriousness, there are a great many Pinkbikers the world over who never comment on anything, just because you don't hear from them, doesn't mean they don't exist Smile
  • 10 0
I haven't won anything yet but I am one of those Pinkbikers who never comment on anything..... Until now........
  • 10 5
Do we really need a comment like that every day? Yes people are winning prizes... The only scam around here is called "26 for Life"... Doh...
  • 8 6
27.5 is a scam waki. 26 for life or gtfo.
  • 12 3
We'll talk when you'll be getting your next bike, oh the amnesia will be powerful
  • 5 3
26 for life people are like the Amish of the mountain bike community.
  • 5 3
They are not Amish, they are currently not in position of replacing their bike. With plummetimg prices of 26" bikes, I would not be surprised if some of them would still go for yet another 26er because difference to 275 is very little. There are still some modern 26" specific components out there - forks, rims and tyres so it makes little sense to go up the size, just for the sake of it. But in 2-3 years time 275 bikes will be cheaper on the second hand market and I guess lots of "26 for life" dudes will jump on. The real deal are 275+ and the most recent 29ers, 275 alone is a freak product, giving much more to the industry than to the riders. New forks, rims and tyres that will no longer be available in 26 are a big deal, not upping the wheel size by half of an inch in radius which is what effectively matters. Anyone thinking otherwise, working out roll over and contact patches at such small increment does a great deal of mental masturbation.
  • 2 1
If you cant afford a new bike and thats why you dont buy a 27.5 or 29 then dont say "26 for life" say "26 until I can justify buying a new bike." 650b is better than 26 without sacrificing much of anything saying, 26 for life just comes down to being resistant to change not $$$.
  • 1 3
Yes, that's the way to look at it. Another way is to say that $$$ and shiny toys change attitudes and bury ideologies...
  • 2 1
My attitude never changes, the more new bikes I build and ride the more I think 26" wheels are going the way of the Dodo. I feel like a homeless man in an apocalyptic movie with a sign proclaiming the end is near. 26forlife people are gathered under the mothership in Independence Day believing they are the enlightened but really when that ship opens they are getting blown to shit.
  • 1 1
That felt a lot more like trolling than I meant it to.
  • 1 0
26" will never die as long as DJ and freeride live on
  • 4 0
Well it seems to continue on from noob november that you need to be a new member or have less than three followers and don't go on pinkbike except for a contest......
  • 4 3
Sounds like sour grapes to me. PinkBike is giving away free stuff, dont complain just because you didnt win.
  • 3 1
26 for life, as well as 27.5 and 29. and 24 or 20 for the kids, and who really gives a shit anymore except people who don't actually ride bikes but hang around on forums getting twisted over lost inches.
  • 3 0
You can pry my 26er from my cold dead hands Wink
  • 2 1
Thanks everyone else for being more mature than @pinkdog321 just got this gem in my inbox. This is what happens when you don't teach your kids to read folks, they become ignorant, uneducated, Internet bigots.

pinkdog321 says:

Just because your crack whore mother was selling her dumpster smelling pussy for diaper and formula money while your cock sucking f*ggot father was out selling his a*shole to the gay male community doesn't mean 26" wheels are dead.
  • 3 0
@MoDobbs. Just because someone took a dump on your bed upstairs, doesn't mean you have to take it down to show everyone at the party Wink
  • 1 0
 Someone shit on the coats!
  • 1 3
I looked it up, and it seems that YOU MoDobbs, are the one who disrespected pinkdog321's mother from the get go and set it off. Don't be such a pussy whos feelings got hurt, when the man fires back at your immature and weak shots at 26"rs by referencing his mother. I personally know pinkdog321, not only could he manhandle your punk ass and make you his bitch, he would smoke you in any DH/FR challenge on a 26". My suggestion to you and the rest of the sideshow bobs who chimed in about his mother, don't start something you can't finish. Merry Christmas ☺
  • 2 2
You looked it up? Lol Its funny he is the one calling people a F***ot and here you are coming to his defense, its cute really. Look at the thread again buddy, I wasn't talking about him with that comment. If I was talking about him I probably wouldn't have been so caught off guard because truthfully I didn't know where the hell he came from until you just pointed it out. I hope you two have a nice Christmas and calm down a bit, you'll live longer.

PS Threats on the internet? Really? My comment must've really chapped your buddies ass, let him know it wasn't about him. I don't want him taking it out on some innocent dog nearby.
  • 1 3
A dog like your "mother" perhaps?
  • 1 1
 Sure.
  • 5 0
I think this is one of the best and sleekest looking fat bikes out there. Plus its a Devinci so you know its good!
  • 1 0
 That fork looking glorious.
  • 11 5
The winner of this prize seems like a fake/multiple account....
  • 11 3
Hey, Dank-Regards here, I have been visiting Pinkbike for years now but have never signed up for an account as I have never had any content to contribute. I saw that Pinkbike was stepping up their give away game in a big way and figured I would get an account. I would be more than happy to verify this is the only Pinkbike account I have and that I am not trying to scam anyone. Also I will be posting some shots of the minus in use as soon as it comes.
  • 4 0

  • 3 0
Is there any reason fatties still run steep head angles and long stems? Is it necessary to get that much weight over the front end of one of those things?
  • 1 0
 So ancient.
  • 5 0
I'd love a fat bike for the so far snow free Canadian winter
  • 2 1

  • 2 1
I live in south Florida, where deep pits sugar sand makes fat bikes useful year round (also we get to ride year round, which is nice Smile )
  • 2 1
This would be perfect for ripping down trails here in Colorado in the Winter! I have trails within 2 miles of my house and they're packed in snow!

I'm in the upper midwest in the states and there is a group of fatbikers that ride the Lake Michigan lake shore for several miles as part of a weekly group bike ride in the summer. In the winter, we have a winter fatbike racing series. We have not had snow this year yet, but once there is a base, a groomer hits the trails. Some people ride them year round. I don't own one, but rode one once, rigid. It was different. It was actually a pretty fun bike, but the wheel/tire/tube combo I rode weighed a ton and even though it had great traction, I could feel the weight. Wheel weight was my only complaint really. I know there is lighter wheel options, but the cost and the fact that I wouldn't ride it year round, it doesn't appeal to mean. But a free one, I'd use it.

I was walking down Canterbury high street in the summer, hearing a chap talking to his friend (a peanut vendor) about his fat bike. Apparently he bought it because it was and I quote "Propa gangsta, man".
Go figure....
