Hmmm, possibility to win components not compatible with dinosaur of a bike... ever acquired a small part, and decided to build a bike around it?

I built a bike around a set of tyres. Skin wall Maxxis DHFs at a price I couldn’t resist, but I didn’t have a 650b bike to put them on.

 Yes. Seven times, so far...

I was planning on buying my first full-sus. I couldn't pass up the deal Jensen had on a CB Joplin and ended up getting a Trek Fuel that matched the colors somewhat (black/gold). Kind of a mistake because the next higher spec model had tapered fork and proper axle. Live and learn.
(Joplin and bike still doing great after 7 years - my son rides it now)

Yes. and I've acquired small bikes and built parts around rm too! Smile

Once started a tubular canti cyclocross build around a carbon tri spoke rear wheel. Found a frame, got a custom painted colour matched fork, and took two years for the rest of the parts. In the end, I didn't even use that wheel, and remembered I like mountain biking.

Agreed. I will continue to assume I haven't won anything, but I'd really like to lock in the disappointment that comes with knowing exactly who won each day.

Are you going to carry on @redshift? I feel you deserve a prize, and they should definitely do a video of PinkBike staff or maybe various pro riders singing it?? That would spread Christmas cheer!!
