Feeling good about this, I never win anything so I'm pretty sure this is fate.

But you've already won my heart.

The more prizes you don't win just means that statistically your odd are getting better to win one. Just like hurricane stats, right?!

All-you-can-ride smorgasbord demos are my happy place! Hey all you "big" companies who don't go to Interbike any more, how do you expect us to buy your bikes when you pull out of the biggest demo event of the year? Let's Party!

Working for a company in a different industry who has recently decided to not attend our industries largest trade show I can commit on likely why this decision was made. Though I see your point, you get to test ride and help firm up your decision as to what you want to buy within the next year. However, these shows are often ungodly expensive for what they get out of them. We then look at what we get out of these shows, more web traffic, increase in product sales, customer feedback etc. Surprisingly, we don't get much of anything out of them. Instead what these larger companies have done is tour around with Demo bikes, buy local shops to brand them as there own and embed their brand deeper into the larger cycling communities in the territories. I know in my area, Giant and trek are executing the above methods and succeeding. Giant is doing lots of group rides, purchased at least 2 shops, set up one and have seen 3 demo events happen so far this year. Trek so far has bought 3 shops in the area and are in the process of setting them up. Just my 2cents.

Outerbike is not to be confused with Interbike or outdoor demo at Interbike. Interbike is an industry event for people who work in the bike industry. The public is allowed to get tickets on one day of the event. Outerbike is a consumer demo event. It's for normal everyday day people not in the industry to have a chance to demo all the new bikes in one place. It's a chance for everyday people to get invited to the party.

@cdub162: Oh! My apologies, i definitely assumed it was the same as inter bike! I agree, they should 100% be out there!

I'd ride an old trek 5400 and be happy, but that new Mach 5.5 is like a singularity. I must have one.

It's always a good time at Outerbike. Great people working it, and great people attending it to talk bikes with over a beer at the end of each day. Did they mention the free beer garden at the end of each day?

A few of the bike options would be absolutely money in Crested Butte. I'm thinking the Pivot 5.5 and the Yeti 4.5. Don't want to be overbiked up there at that altitude or your day might be shorter than you planned.

I'd just be happy to be there, wouldn't matter which bike I was riding.......

I rode that Jamis at Sedona Mtb Fest. I was blown away how well that bike rode for being 30+ lbs all aluminum. It pedals really well and hammered the descents.

All I do is lose, lose, lose. Never ridden a 29er (Gasp) and would give the spot a go (surprised it got a lot of other votes). Plus Mayhem was a very influencial band.
