Looks like an ebiker will be getting some nice prizes.

What's the go with only some tracks being counted? I know they have to be more than 200m to count. But when looking at the tracks I've ridden it only gives some tracks the distance you road on them and the others it has no distance on them, just says you rode on them and some of those tracks were well over the 200m criteria but were not counted in the tracks ridden that day towards the overall count?

Where on Trailforks is the leaderboard for this? I've hunted everywhere and can't seem to find it.

Also, any idea how I can get my Strava sync queue cleared? I re-connected Strava to Trailforks for this, but I made a bad decision and asked it to sync all my missing rides - it's now say with 80+ rides in the queue for the last 24 hours or so, and no new rides are being added to Trailforks (looks like they're just going in the queue).

You can see in the Village at the Lift Coffee Co. And here is the URL

Looks like our Strava API usage is getting slammed and we're hitting the daily limit for 4th day in a row so the import Queue is stacking up. I'll try and get it processed tomorrow.

If you use the Trailforks app to record your ride then have it sync to Strava, there will be no queue.

If you export your strava ride as a GPX file you can directly upload it to Trailforks.

@canadaka: I'm using Strava to record my rides, but I'm not appearing in the Trail Challenge Leaderboards yet. Can it be fixed?
Alternatively, you said "If you use the Trailforks app to record your ride then have it sync to Strava, there will be no queue." - Just to confirm 100%, if I use the TF app to record, it will update my Strava? Basically like what I'm doing, but the other way around?

Thanks!

@TimmoWhistler: Kinda bad timing, our Strava API usage has been hitting all-time highs the past week just before this contest started. So we have a daily backlog of strava rides in queue to import. There are currently over 6,106 strava rides in queue waiting to be imported and we're at todays limit. They will start processing again in a couple hours. So your rides will import!

But yes you can record your ride using Trailforks and choose an option to sync it to Strava. But because our API usage is maxxed out, this also might be delayed. Looking at ways to get around that, normally this isn't an issue though, just kinda become an issue this week. This is how I track all my rides, using the Trailforks app and sync TO Stava.

@canadaka: Thanks for the reply. That explains the sync issue, but I wonder why I'm not on the Leaderboards (looking at Trails Ridden board)? I've ridden (and recorded) every day....

@TimmoWhistler: All ridelogs from the 15th are imported now, 16th doing now, will take another 6 hours or so. I see 2 ridelogs on your account still pending import.

@TimmoWhistler: The Strava queue is not all processed and back to importing a new Strava activity within 10 minutes of it being posted to Strava.

@canadaka: Thanks! I'm finally on the Leaderboard Smile

For most meters climbed, do access roads count toward elevation gain?
  • 1 1
Aside from the helicopter part, it would be cheaper just to buy all of the prizes. Actually, maybe including the helicopter if you are staying in a hotel

Maybe you should consider donating some $$ to the cause?

Do rides have to be recorded in the TF app? Can rides added to my TF ride log via Strava sync count towards the total?
  • 2 0
Yes you can also use the awesome strava app if you have it connected to trailforks

If i was able to be riding Whistler trails every day, i would feel like i already won.

Does "Least KM's Climbed" win an E-bike ?
  • 3 0
@denomerdano: lol last week at fromme there was 3 people who cruised past me on e-bikes. As I slogged my way up a second climb I jokingly said, it's only out of pure jealousy, but I kind of hate you guys right now. The response "I know, I'm afraid to even look people in the eye.".
