 I saw a dude who won a canyon spectral like two years ago, he immediately sold it lmao, There was also that Return to Earth, ride everyday in July 2018, for a tricked out Trek bike. The winner already had multiple top end Trek bikes. I'm convinced the prizes go to those who have the least need for them haha.

 I have wone an Gx Eagle complete groupset in 2017. After the mail from Pinkbike, in a few hours someone from Sram contacted me and in a week i received the box with an extra t-shirt bonus. After 5 months , the rear derailleur upper pulleys got ripped off . Contacted Sram again and they send me a new XO1 derailleur for free. Huge fan of Sram sice then!

 @DylanH93: I never believe these contests either. Literally every company that I've ever worked for that has run a drawing, rigged it. I'm not in the bike industry just FYI. Some manager or exec would say "make sure the winner is..." one of our best customers, or a woman, or somebody we like, etc. I'm certain SRAM and every other bike brand do the exact same thing. There's nothing random about these things at all.

 @TalusRider: not surprising. I could see the advantages of making sure some influencer wins to build hype. But then on some of the smaller drawings, like the Christmas one last year, a ton of the accounts had nothing on them. Basically just existing to enter drawings. Who knows lol.

 @dtorres: Yes! I also picked the type (clips or flat) and size. I typically wear 11s but have wide feet. They are a little tight but w/ laces looser and breaking in I think they'll be good.

 @hardtailpunter: I'm a big fan, it is well made, strong, light and super versatile. I can swap between full 29 or mullet by switching the shock mount. For flatter terrain I keep the 27.5" mount and put in the 29" wheel, which shortens the wheelbase and steepens HA - makes it even more playful. Giacomo (the CEO) also experimented to make the frame a vhp18 by fitting a longer shock and said it had some potential. They're not done tinkering and very open & approachable about it.
The idler is a non-issue, maybe some extra cleaning and a little drag but no serious issues (e.g. chain drop- not a thing). The descending performance is just fantastic.
IMO a very competitive frame price even without factoring in semi-custom geo, full custom colors and (relatively) short delivery times.
