About Fabric

Fabric uses innovative design, pioneering techniques and fresh thinking to create unique and world first cycling products. Function | Performance | Technology | Ergonomics | Elegance

We believe that cycling products can be improved. Our mission is to combine technology, design and a deep understanding of the cycling industry to create a world beating range of products that make the ride better. We push the boundaries by taking an unconventional approach to development. We look outside of the bicycle industry, applying the latest engineering and manufacturing technologies to construct products in ways that no other manufacturer has done to date. The result is a range of products that combine form and function to perfectly suit the needs of the modern cyclist.

We do all of this from our design office in Frome, Somerset, U.K. We work on great products, test them relentlessly, and develop them further so that the design is sleek and so that they have improved functionality over other available products at the same price point. We’re a new brand but we have big plans. We launched with a range of world beating saddles and have now expanded into bar tape, grips, water bottles, and tools. There are more exciting products to come; watch this space.

I look forward to the xmas PB giveaway where all I need to do is turn up. Probably not worth setting up an instagram for

I have been pushing off joining, yet another, social network. Instagram just seems like vanity shots with no context.

@alwaysOTB: Depends on who you're following too. I have a lot of mountain bike, motorcycle and car people I follow. Lots of nice things with very little people in the shot.

I was too busy riding my bike to #boxhunt

@trialsracer: I like to ride both equally so I need a bike and a box. How can you be too busy for either? Seriously perplexed.

Fabric, please make that water bottle and tool keg have a child. There's often only one water bottle cage on a full sus bike. I don't wanna chose between having a sip and fixing my flat tire!

I won the Instagram weekly giveaway so I won't be entering this, but I have never had a reply from @Fabric after I initially thanked them very much and accepted the prize. Still keeping an eye out for the delivery man though.

Any tips for keeping the cage less water bottle on it likes to fly of on the decents if I have it filled more than half way?

make sure the studs are tight. i tightened mine up half a turn each and never have any problems.
  • 2 0
Make sure you have it pushed right down. I've never had mine come off

I haven't mounted them yet on my MTB bike but mine stayed put on my cyclocross bike when I descended a rough rock garden. Don't see why they wouldn't stay put on a full squishy bike. You can dial it by screwing the mount tighter.

Tight and on proper. Only tried it my hard tail and not bothered about using it on my full suss anyway. I don't want the lugs to expand and crack if I do it any tighter. To say I'm not impressed would be a understatement. Soon as I mounted it I could see it was gonna fail but thought I'd give it the benefit of the doubt. Be fine on smooth stuff. But no good for me if it can't even handle a pissy little trail Centre

I know two different people w the fabric bottle and they both took it off their bike because they were impossible to use on the fly and the bottle did fly

Make sure you ride on the sidewalk if you don't want to have it fall off. Lost mine. Friends lost theirs. Followed the suggested nm tightness, and even tried a bit tighter. Now I'm out the $ but unwilling to fork out for a replacement. Went back to my Bontrager bat cage which is super reliable. The @Fabric one was cool but was unsuitable for rowdy mountain biking. Down-vote me if you want.
