The giveaway stuff is awesome this year. Kinda leaves me wondering what's coming up next for the rest of the days. A 2-week trip to Whistler? Ford F-150 Raptor for shuttles? :-D

 Graves' old yetis.
  • 26 1
What a cracking great prize that would be!
  • 15 15
I know I'm not going to win anything, but do they post a list of the winners?
  • 13 2
Oh God ! I would kill for the F-150 Raptor, best looking truck of the time !
By the way, I would already be happy by winning a Race Face or Dakine tailgate protection, even if I don't own a truck Big Grin
  • 73 10
Please let me win this so I can make a bong out of my 2014 FOX 36 and ride a real fork...
  • 6 4
Yeah, if I win anything it'll be going straight to my bro who is struggling to get a bike sorted right now. Just want to buy him a full build - but I can't afford one for him either!!!!
  • 3 0
If you want to know what the prizes will be next, read the rules and regulations it tells you what brands are participating in the advent calender contest
  • 6 5
Does it come in 1 1/8" straight steerer?? :-)
  • 26 5
I don't need to win a prize. Just being here with all my online PB buddies is enough. I'm already a winner!
  • 19 1
If you win you should mail me those 36's and ill send you a bong lol
  • 3 1
Hmmmm… can you ship that? My PO# is *69
  • 8 1
Just upgrade your internals my 2016 36 is better than the pike imo
  • 3 1
I don't know about you guys but I wouldn't be able to afford the taxes on prizes that big... or is that another uniquely screwed up this about the US?
  • 3 0
Sounds like it! You'd pay tax on a prize???? Here if you win summat or you get gifted it, it is yours. You poor buggers! At least most of you have better weather than us (apart from tornado alley, although if you live there I guess you know what's to come, it's like ronsil isn't it, does exactly what it says on the tin)!!!
  • 5 0
I know you have to for cash prizes as it is technically income now so it's taxed accordingly. However I've somehow managed to win several hundred dollars worth of things from races I've attended and well... Not sure how to report a bike rack, a helmet, sunglasses on my taxes so I just didn't. I haven't spend a weekend with the pain monster yet!

  • 2 0
@JacksonTM. Watch out, the IRS is coming for those glasses!
  • 1 0
Jackson- You can technically not report it but its considered tax evasion. Uncle Sammy is probably too busy with bigger problems anyways but say if you go on a game show and win a car, or win a vacation home online, ya know something absurd, then you have to pay the taxes on it before receiving the prize. Most on the game shows like Price is Right never take possession of their bigger prizes because they cannot afford it. Thankfully there are short-term lenders out there exactly for this issue but you have to sell it right away to pay back the loan.

Last year I complained about not seeing any winners, and a few days later I won a Kali helmet. Today, I complain about it being my 30th birthday. And now, we wait.

I have a Carbon Kali full face and its a great lid. It's so light I have to make sure it don't float away.

I have won a Kali Avatar last year. Most comfortable helmet out there.

But I still don´t use it when riding bikepark, because I would never be able to afford a new one if I crashed on it.
  • 25 7
I have entered! One cannot simply go by the Pike... on another hand... if they had a Fox36 Float RC2 for give away, you could sell it and buy a PIKE and a Lyrik for the same money...
  • 52 24
fox 36 does the job of both the pike and the lyrik. neg prop the hell out of me!
  • 32 8
Don't worry, the fox fanboys will save you.
  • 10 6
I am a huge Fox fanboy, I think they are the best in terms of performance/servicability/support/(yea looks) but I just bought a Lyrik because it was a Pike cheaper than 36 RC2 180 Float I so much desire. If Fox helps me out by offering me 180 Float at a matching price, I take it and sell Lyrik right away.
  • 13 3
yeah, i kinda put that out there to see who outnumbers who. if i stay on the positive, fox wins.
  • 44 3
Quite honestly I am pissed of right now, I wore out 23 keyboards fighting Redbull, Spec and Fox haters and I got nothing. I challenged @Protour and @deeeight, evaded @Redburn, had to sleep with moraly deprived monsters like @Hamncheez, I got millions of negprop arrows into my arse - the mental injuries I sustained in those encounters are nothing to falling off a cliff at Rampage. Fk that sht, I am leaving...
  • 6 5
In my area and especially with my LBS fox is god awful, they're jerks, they will charge you for service but won't tell you what was wrong, and they will take a long time to get your suspension back to you. And sometimes it comes back without it fixed. But SRAM and my LBS are tight, and it is awesome having quick turn around and an almost no questions asked service station.

FUX SUCKS! Their service department is a total joke employing HACK hammer mechanics. They are not able to preform simple service. What a joke of a service department you are running there ED.
  • 7 7
Rockshox are the best bang for the buck you can buy. Easy service and easy to obtain service parts.

Hell no suntour is lol (sarcasm)

I can finally say that I have sufficient experience to comment. I'm currently riding a Pike on my trail bike and a 350 NCR on my AM bike, with a 66 rc3 and Lyrik RC2DH on the bench. The only Fox left is the 32 RLC on my wife's bike. That said, I have to give it to Fox. I've owned FIVE Fox forks in my riding life and EVERY SINGLE ONE has been flawless. Every one has needed NOTHING. THEY JUST WORK. (note the period) My Pike is barely a year old and already been back to RS for warranty work, the Lyrik is making noise, i've had two broken Rev's, a leaky Psylo, and another Lyrik who's rebound would only work for 2-3 rides at a time. I have not yet had an RS fork without an issue. But yes, they are cheaper, and yes, they do work well when they are working. I've had alot more Marzocchis and some have worked and some have had issues, but Marz forks have always been cake to work on so i'm alot more forgiving.

So yes we can argue all day about which fork performs best, but I just don't see a case for RS beating Fox's reliability. In my reality, there's just no way.
  • 23 0
 Did @WAKIdesigns just rage quit
  • 3 0
 Think he did...
  • 2 1
That was an awesome rant, cheers. As for fox, I've had so much fox stuff I can't even count it all. Their service has always been top notch for me. If I need special tuning done I'll call them first, otherwise I'll do an RA online with some notes or the mod details in the box, and about 8 days later my fork or shock is back better than ever (I'm in CA, so fast shipping)). Anyway, my new Fox 36 160mm is sick! I'm ripping tires off the trail bike it's so goddamn fast now.
  • 18 1
And I'm still here with a 1.125" headtube... If I win I'll probably end up getting a new frame!!
  • 4 3
haha yeah, this will go great on my 2006 Stumpjumper.....
  • 10 3
Could the judges please browse the profiles, and disqualify anyone who already has forks made in this decade? That would be most kind.
  • 1 0
'02 Super T Pro feels like you're looking down at chopsticks with a monster truck tire in the middle
  • 10 0
I will be shocked if I win this great prize.
  • 7 0
then you wont have to fork out any cash to get it.
  • 2 0
only have to spring off your sofa to get it at the door!
  • 17 0
You won't have to travel far, just don't let your attention to entering sag, and hope that others dropout, so you can win the crown. But if you bottom-out in this contest, don't let it put a damper on your spirits, you can always try to rebound with the next one.
  • 1 0

Between yesterday's travel bag and today's Pike I have never had my fingers crossed for so long. They are a really deep shade of purple and I think one of my nails might fall off.
  • 3 0
It says any option of the pike. Does that include the Pike DJ? I have been lusting after a set. Sweet prizing as always PB, Sram and all the other companies involved, great job.
  • 1 0
You can travel the 26" Pike, down to 100 mm... Dada now you have a Pike dj
  • 2 0
I don't have the skills to do a custom damper tune and all that jazz though. I would much rather have the fork I want out of the box in this magical fantasy world where I win this fork.
  • 2 0
It probably won't include the Pike DJ, they're even listed under different names on the Sram website. But if you ask nicely, they might give you a Pike DJ(as long as your magical fantasy world becomes real).
Or just simply sell the Pike and buy a Pike DJ.
  • 2 0
For those hating on Fox or any suspension company for that matter, you don't have to send to them directly for service. There's Dirtlabs in Boulder Co that you can ship any fork, shock, and even dropper, that they can service and rebuild even better than factory. I used them twice and they are top notch, backed by all manufacturers, and for $40 bucks will dial you in perfectly based on riding style/weight/terrain. Plus, they explain EVERYTHING you have questions about.
  • 2 0
For all the sad sacks who don't win Backcountry.com has this fork for $599 right now. Still a lot of chedda to part with but the Pike is my favorite component on my bike. Not to throw my hat in to the manufacturer debate, I love fox but dear god are they expensive.
  • 2 0
Could do with one of these, fed up trying to do the rough stuff on a flimsy fox 32, how about a swap pinkbike, I'll give you mine if u give me yours? An offer like this doesn't last forever so be quick!

I have a 2013 Fox 32. It still rides and its still fun if not a little sketch diving in corners. If I win its going on the Buy/Sell for free. Mainly just to see of someone would still take it.

Congrats @RajunCajun. I have the 27.5 version of this fork and it is awesome! Super supple and it inspires confidence. I run mine with 2 tokens and that helped make it a lot more progressive.

It's "pike" singular. You have 1 fork in your bike, not 2. Think about a fork in the road.
  • 10 1
@nbaumgarten They are front forks though, that is the accepted vernacular. Also you are being a dick.
  • 3 2

That would be a great upgrade for my storm trooper RM Altitude. I believe in the force!
  • 1 0
Ha ha. I too have the storm trooper Altitude. It used to have a white XF Sweep, that made it Ultra Storm Trooper. Now it's got a 34 Kashima, so a bit less storm trooper, but I'd look a lot better with this Pike (crosses fingers and toes).
