The Crankworx Official Oceania Whip Off Championships went down tonight in Rotorua and it was Ryan "R-dog" Howard who took home the win as judged by Sven Martin, Duncan Riffle and Finn Iles (Who had to unfortunately sit this one out through a wrist injury - heal up quick Finn!).

 Not only did Ryan Howard whip the furthest(backwards at one point), the smoothest(greasier than a deep fat fryer), but he also got it back in completely staight! No competition, for me...

 I think Söderström was close to Ryan Howard and also I like how he looked the other way. Still Howard was a tab bit cleaner... Big Grin

 Jackson was off to a great start, but it looked like he was leaning back so much that he couldn't get it whipped far enough before he had to land it. He started out with a pretty nice inverted table.

 It doesn't help that they didn't show half the landings, but you could just tell that R-Dog's was perfect.

 Elliot has the best moto-scrub hands down..... Howard hashis past 90 degrees , completely perpendicular , added that extra seat tilted past his thigh extension the landed perfect . TEN for form ,TEN for execution ,TEN for style ,TEN for being AMERICAN !!!! PERFECT SCORE !!!

 It's an easy pick, R-Dog just smashed other competitors with his unique style! Matt Walker was pretty close tho, but my vote went to Howard!

 I love the initiation of R-Dog's whip with the bar turn and head looking over the elbow. That style. McMillan had it but hung it out too much for a smooth recovery.

 Soderstrom's was all going so well until he twisted round and looked backwards. It always looks so awkward and unnatural when people do that, as if they're having to try really hard...which is the opposite of why whips are cool.

 Would have been nice to see Casey Brown's. She did win the women's after all. Ryan Howard was definitely the cleanest but Soderstrom's, and some of the others are just a bit more stylish IMO.

 I love watching whips in slowmo but it is so hard to tell who has fluidity, which is huuge when judging these guys... Elliot's moto style got me jacked! Howard had some mean lean! But Martin wins my vote with his obvious full gas attitude and a head turn that just lingers!!

 Poor David Mc, Throwing the gnarliest, craziest and most balls to the wall whip we may have ever seen....(I understand that his landing was silky smooth but surely that goes out the window with a whip like that?) Still doesnt take gold :'(

 Howard by far! Clean, further than everyone else. Silver-medal for connor, eventhough i think it looks rad because they start in real-time and switsch to slowmo mid air.. who knows what the other guys would look like edited like that

 man it was a tough one between Howard, Martin, and Kerr. I went with Howard, he got the furthest out, and looked to have a steezed out landing. Martin was a close second, and I almost voted him just cuz that Enduro is badass.

 R-Dog's was killer. T-Mac was on point. I voted for T-Mac since he didn't win the official and he's another local dude for me. Straits had that classic feel to it and I like the power and intentional look over of Soderstrom. I dumped Brooker out instantly. That's not a whip. Keep it traditional in these types of contests.

 There was no doubt that, Mr... R-Dog's was "picture perfect" from run-in to the landing!!!

BUT....I say that Mr. Martin Soderstrom's whip better than perfect. Every single movement had flare and a truly unique style. It was pure euphoria and dead sexxxy all the way through!!!

 You can´t tell if a whip was better than the other if you can´t seehow it was landed.
If we look at brendan fairclough he is pretty sideways, but doesn´t clean his whips so for me he can not be the winner for example.

 Would have liked to see these from the side as well to see how flat, and sideways these chaps were getting but Brendog gets the vote for me... so satisfying to watch!
