@danrowe: yup, i see, my point was that with a fender upfront the quantity of snow blasted by the wheel has to go somewhere not to stop the front wheel
@MtbPanda: So if my opinion doses not agree with yours I have ruined the(website) internet? That's has to be the smartest post I have ever seen on here. Next time I have a opinion I will run it by you first as not to post a bad one. I sure don't want to be responsible for ruining the whole interned. I sure hope I can sleep now.
@properp: Cool Story Bro, I wasn't responding to your opinion, you didn't even state one, I was responding to your pointless comment being a dick to someone for no reason, you know the one were you have -60 props?
Lets see...Specialized said to Matty H. "Listen, we're gonna pay you to take a helo ride to the top of a virgin hill, and ride an S-Works D8 down several times. Whadaya think?" Nah, gimme a snowboard
If you have something that flies and Common Sense you fly your bicycle to somewhere where it's warm and ride. Who takes flight to dump their bike off in knee-deep snow? Idiocracy
@properp: @properp: It's called 'fun'. Maybe partake in some of that once in a while and you wouldn't be such a f*cking killjoy sat at the internet all day
This promotion is probably mostly aimed at people who do not have a lot of experience combining bikes and snow. The window where you could actually ride a dh bike on powder snow would be so limited that it would mostly just be frustrating. A fatbike gives more flotation and would widen the window some but still the combination of slope and depth of snow would be pretty narrow. (you would need a very steep slope, a limited amount of snow and professional level skills to stay up even for a short time - or not a lot of snow at all - it would probably be pretty fun on the right terrain if there wasn't enough snow to ski yet) In any substantial amount of snow skis or a board would make way more sense except as advertising.
Looks like these guys are having far too much fun to be concerned with whether or not the PB critics approve, think it’s feasible, think they should have brought fat-bikes, skis, snowboards or that the grade of the mountain and consistency of the snow was conducive to riding a bike in it effectively.
What the hell are some of you complaining about? Some guys having fun on bikes? I don't understand. Live and let live. More power to anyone having fun while doing no harm.
Well once again the pinkbike hater brigade strikes! Great edit, It make me want to go have fun instead of going to work. Crushing pow on anything is fun. DIE WHINEY TROLLS!
