The downhill at MSA is fast and furious this year, with dusty, dry conditions and massive holes. Rain is coming, but no one knows when or how much. Until then, everyone is just keeping it on the limiter and trying to keep the rubber side down.
Check out Thursday in Photos, video from MTB Cut and results from timed practice.
The Master is back. Will he be up to his old tricks, or will a lingering injury keep him from giving 100%?
This track seems to have been tailor made for the USA's Aaron Gwin. Watch the ex Motocross racer take to it like a duck to water and teach some downhillers a lesson.
Brad Benedict has been on form all season, and so far this week, it's another day at the office.
Canada's Vaea Verbeek had a rough times run, as the dust on her jersey shows.
In case you forgot, it's time for the big show.
Kona's Joe Smith is looking fast and in control this week. He may surprise.
Luke Strobel is used to the loamy dirt of the west coast, but the dust and rocks don't seem to be bothering him a bit this week.
Steve Smith. Canada's hope for a podium.
The other Steve. He finally has one sets of stripes, can he get another this week?
One man can beat Monster's Troy Brosnan for the Junior win, and it's Evil's Lewis Buchanan.
Also, have a gander at this video from MTB Cut from timed practice today:
Steve Smith Canada's hope for a WIN, look at the splits, he was 2nd in both only .1 seconds behind on the 2nd split, then he fell and lost all of his time. But he is on it! Come on Stevie!
so nice to see some Jr riders that are american in the mix!!! can't remember the last time more than 1 from the US was up there, I hope they can keep it together for race day!! GO Gwin! Go Kitner make us proud
One thing you have to know about delfs and mullaly is that they came here at mont-sainte-anne one month ago for the quebec championship. SO they came here and they already knew half of the course(cause we were not racing the entire course).
its a timed practice run, it means nothing, some riders were just cruising and hitting some sections fast while others were going for it, I'm sure the other juniors are easily gonna step it up
Team America, F*ck yeah!
Anyone has some information to fill us in, on this fork?
wish i was back there
