HERE'S WHAT YOU MISSED- (15:30): Your top three Elite Men riders today:
Danny Hart (1st), Greg Minnaar (2nd), Loic Bruni (3rd)- (15:24):
Aaron Gwin takes it easy and crosses the line way back but with enough points to take the series overall.
Danny Hart is your race winner - congratulations Danny!
- (15:23): Over 10 seconds back,
Troy Brosnan slips in the woods but is back on his bike.
- (15:22):
Troy Brosnan is on track but isn't able to keep up with Danny Hart's time.
- (15:20):
AARON GWIN is your 2016 World Cup series overall winner. New team and all. Congratulations Aaron and congratulations YT in their first factory World Cup season!
- (15:19):
Gwin is on track. Is he going to go all out or play it safe?
- (15:17): Wonder if there are some last minute tyre changes for the top riders. Conditions are wet up top but bone-dry in the woods.
- (15:14):
Remi Thirion rides is back - no thanks to the rain up top no doubt - he's blasts all the features in the lower woods though. Sadly he's 12 seconds down.
- (15:14): French wildman
Remi Thirion is now on track. He's won here before but can he do it again today?
- (15:12): How did
Pierron keep it straight?! He's now eight seconds back.
- (15:11): Four riders to go!
- (15:10):
Ferran Jorba Prats crashes in the woods!
- (15:09):
Ferran Jorba Prats from Spain takes to the track. He's 16 seconds back at the second split thanks to a crash at the top.
- (15:07): Yikes, the rain is pouring down monsoon-like at the top of the course.
- (15:05):
Luca Shaw has come off and continues down the track with dirt all over his left knee. He;s 24 seconds back at the second split.
- (15:03): WHAT! I think I've just had a HART ATTACK!
Danny Hart takes the hot seat!
- (15:02):
Danny Hart is UP by 1 second in mid-sector!
- (14:59): The Redcar Rocket is on track - yep, this is
Danny Hart's time to shine.
- (14:57): The rain is still coming down and
Vergier is on track. He's a fair few seconds down...8 seconds in fact.
- (14:55): Looks like
Loic Bruni is taking it steady on his race run. He's not too far behind Minnaar but not enough to take the hot seat surely?
- (14:53):
Minnaar takes the hot seat and sets the challenge for the remaining riders.
- (14:52): Woowzers!
Greg Minnaar puts his experience into practice and attacks the course with a wise head. He continues to be up by a second!
- (14:50): It looks good for
Fearon... he takes second place just 0.24 back. The final woods section is crucial to get right.
- (14:47): A great first few sectors for
Kerr but he loses time in the bottom sectors. Oh and he comes to a stop and almost falls off! There goes his race. UPDATE: Looks like he had a flat in the woods.
- (14:43):
Mick Hannah looks to have had trouble in the top section. His teammate
Fayolle still sits in the hot seat.
- (14:41): The rain looks to be pouring down in Vallnord. Huge drops on the broadcast cameras and umbrellas are up in the finish line area.
- (14:36):
Fairclough is up at split 2 despite the rain but loses time in the bottom section.
- (14:33): The rain continues! Unfortunately
Brook MacDonald suffers a puncture.
- (14:31): Oh no!
Bryceland has a big crash in the woods! He's ok and gets back on his bike.
- (14:29): Almost... Brayton crosses the line in 3rd. Is the rain slowing the track?
- (14:27): What a wild run!
Adam Brayton is on track and isn't holding back! His split times are close!
- (14:25): IT'S RAINING!
- (14:23): George Brannigan takes to the track.
- (14:20): Great Britain National Champ
Greg Williamson has a big mistake up top and makes another (smaller) one down. He crosses the line in 50th.
- (14:15): UPDATE on
Blenkinsop's crash. It was a mighty slam to the floor in the steep berm section. Looks like he was knocked out but soon re-gained consciousness. Medics attending help him walk off the track. Healing vibes Blenki!
- (14:13): Now for the top 20 Elite Men riders...
- (14:09): We've got a DNF for
Sam Blenkinsop. We hope he's OK.
- (13:53):
Steve Peat races down World Cup track for the last time and crosses the line with a time of 4:31.060. What a legend.
- (13:49): So far we have Romain Paulhan and Joe Connell as two DSQ'd riders.
- (13:40):
Harry Heath, in his last World Cup race comes across the finish line with a time of 4:24.758, a few places from hot seat occupier
Jack Reading. Times are tight though and it's only a matter of time before Reading has to move off.
- (13:25):
Taylor Vernon continues to hold the hot seat, beating the likes of
Mark Wallace,
Dean Lucas and
Joe Smith.
- (13:09): Looking at the speed trap times for the Elite Women, we have
Verbeek fastest (39.130kph), followed by
Carpenter (38.379kph) and
Salazar Palomo (38.185).
Atherton was sixth fasted through the speed trap with a speed of 36.734kph clocked.
- (13:00): The Elite Men are now on track.
- (12:46):
Nicole slots into third place behind
Hannah.
Rachel Atherton ends the World Cup season with complete domination of her field and becomes the first World Cup Elite-level downhill rider to have a clean-sweep season - Huge congrats Rachel!
- (12:43):
Nicole is putting down an incredible run! Is it enough?
- (12:39):
Rachel Atherton sets the challenge to Nicole and Hannah with a time of 4:52.783 (that's +8.811 seconds up from
Manon Carpenter!)
- (12:36):
Manon Carpenter takes the lead with over 3 seconds to spare over
Tahnee Seagrave. Only three riders to left.
- (12:25): After a great qualifying run
Mariana Salazar Palomo of El Salvador is now on track and has started off really well. Only a few riders to go now.
- (12:20):
Tahnee Seagrave takes the lead early on with a time of 05:04.876 ahead of
Georgia Astle by 22 seconds. Is it enough for a podium place?
- (12:00): Elite Women are now on track.
- (12:00):
Finn Iles wins the season overall by 15 points over
Gaetan Vige - Congratulations Finn!
- (11:45 BST): Junior Men -
Gaetan Vige takes the win, with
Finn Iles 3.099 seconds behind. Finn started badly and was 5th fastest at the first split. He managed to claw the time back and was 2nd fastest by the final split before the finish line.
- (11:35 BST): Junior Men -
James Purvis has been disqualified and
Matt Walker was a Did Not Start.
- (11:00): Timings for finals are: Junior Men at 1200, Elite Women at 1300, Elite Men at 1400. All times are local to Andorra.
- (11:00):
Tahnee Seagrave crashed heavily during her qualification run in the top section of the track. Seagrave checked in at the local the hospital after the incident but is expected to race.
"I had a really good feeling about this race. Mother Nature didn't agree...When pushing limits sometimes you gotta pay the price. Again." - Tahnee Seagrave posting on Instagram yesterday
- (11:00): After suffering from a reoccurring shoulder injury, for yesterday's qualification run
Gee Atherton crossed the start-gate beam and then pulled to the side to allow him to have the option to race in the finals if his shoulder holds up.
- (11:00): For those curious as to the
'what if' scenario; as far as we understand and this is completely unofficial, were
Danny Hart to win and get maximum points (200) and for whatever reason
Gwin fails to take any points (he would have to crash out and/or cross the line in 81st place or above) both riders would then be tied on 1226 points. In this scenario, we gather UCI rule 4.7.004 of the UCI Mountain Bike Regulations (Part 4, Chapter VII) kicks in, which states:
"Riders who are tied in the individual ranking have their positions decided by their ranking in the most recent event of the season". As Hart won more points in the last World Cup race (i.e. Mont-Sainte-Anne), Hart would win the overall title. Will Gwin take it easy on the way down or will his hunger for being first down the mountain kick in? We'll soon find out...
- (10:50): Good morning (or afternoon/evening for those in non-CET time zones!) and welcome to the live timing and results board for the last UCI World Cup race of the season. Keep your eyes peeled here for the latest from Andorra. The Tissot Timing screen will update automatically but keep refreshing your window to check out the updates below.

Steve Peat one of the worlds most decorated (certainly the UKs) and experienced riders retire whilst having posted a respectable result on the toughest track, how can that not get a mention?
Rachel Atherton has a perfect season and is the only person to win 13 consequetive races including a world champs and still doesn't get a mention.
Tracey Moseley has retired from EWS after dominating, yet can still drop in and win when it suits. That's after a successful DH career.
If these were track or road cyclist, they'd be knighted by now instead they will remain legends in the MTB bubble only.
It will be the same no doubt when Minnaar, Hill and Gee go.
The excuse is that MTB is a niche sport, but with the endless R&D leading to new standards and increasing costs of bikes for marginal improvements and the willingness for people to pay those sums to enjoy the illusion of riding like their heroes or genuine belief they'll see a performance advantage suggests otherwise.
It's time the media with its readership (Pinkbike, Dirt, MBR, BIKE etc) and viewers via RedBull started aiming higher, push the stories on major media and broadcasters, make the case that something amazing is happening, burst the bubble so that MTB gets more recognition for its benefits (health, fitness, wellbeing, tourism) as well the successes for those who push it forward.
And I replied saying the Parking Bros have been putting out rad daily video edits from world cups for the past 4 seasons working for Red Bull.
You say they "were the best" but they have not been replaced and are still just as rad as they have always been.
My advice to you? don't watch they free content. And if you do watch the free content, don't be a massive hater about how you don't like the company that provides it for your enjoyment.
What's with the digs at Gee, why some continue to have it in for him, I do not understand.
Lastly, if you're going to suggest riders to give up their spots, why not the ones who have consistently shown this season that they aren't prepared to put in the effort required to win, and would rather coast through the world cup season and party it up instead of train?
@thebrucetrail: I never said that it's something he should or has to do and it ain't about digging at Gee at all. It's something I would like to happen, because I'd love Kerr to have a shot at the worlds, seeing how well he's riding lately and I'd rather see Gee ride at his best when he's all healed up, than see him struggle and risk further injuries. Noone likes naysayers, but I really doubt his shoulder is going to be all set and ready to challenge the top20 in a weeks time, it's an injury that takes time to recover.
Racing is Gee's job and I respect that, but that doesn't mean I can't state my unpopular opinion here, chill out guys.
@jaame: did you see that short movie about Semenuk and his filmmakers, like a month ago?
Jeez, I tried to reply to three posts in one, what has pinkbike done.
Besides...21 overall this season...it's not like he's even doing especially poorly...
Just one Hart attack after another this season. Well deserved Danny. Boy.
But Rachel. F**king. Atherton!!!! Congrats on he season sweep!!!!
Don't get too excited though. For Danny to win he had to beat 82 other fast as hell blokes. It's difficult for the men to even qualify for a world cup race. For the girls, not so difficult, statistically speaking. I'm not exactly sure of the details, but from what I understand they have to simply fill in the entry form.
I'm also gutted to see Brendog have a front flat but he did great and still came in top 20.
Steve Peat will be missed racing but I'm sure we will still see a lot from him in videos and online articles for a very very long time
2. Redbullshit fix your shit player
3. More races.
4. More races.

Ratboy pull yer finger out mate
I guess people love to complain.....be positive and get out and ride.
Great season.....nice job Danny Hart.!!
Wins - 2
Average Place - 6.6th
Worst Result - 20th
Hart:
Wins - 3
Average Place - 5th
Worst Result - 10th
I get that there are qualifying points at play here, but that still kinda sucks for Danny when he had better results on race day.
Rider A wins the first 6 races and the crashes and places 80th in the last race.
Rider B gets 12th place in all 7 races.
Who had a "better" series?
According to your average place statistic you would select rider B.
I'm chuffed for Gwin after so many wrote him off for jointing YT.
I seriously doubt Hart take a third consecutive win, particulary on this track, where i expect some young guns !
And i seriously doubt that Gwinnny finnish in 81st ahah
It's nothing to do with Internet. It just went to closed credits and said "thanks for watching" like they have an allotted time to broadcast. Then it wouldn't reopen, when it did it started at the interview with Danny so we knew he'd won. Not ideal.
Any rider in his position would have done the same- unless they've got something wrong upstairs and feel like a 15th place is better than a DH overall title.
